Regrann from @theprojectmommyger - Check this out! Our own version of the "dressing frames" using the stuff that Kara has outgrown and my purse so I spent NONE. 😁😁😁 Most toddlers can easily put on a jacket (i posted the "Montessori" style of putting it on), but very few ones are able to fasten the zipper afterwards. For this reason, it is a good idea to create a fastening activity. In the beginning, especially for kids below 2 years old, just offer and QUIETLY DEMONSTRATE 1 type of material at a time (for example, start with snapping or using a Velcro!) As they master each one, you can combine all in one tray because with repetition, comes mastery.
This is part of #practicallife and just imagine how empowering it is for your child once they are able to help themselves dress up. Anyway, I'll probably share more #MontessoriHacks - now that Kara is also attending Primary (at 2.9 years old), she has so many materials within her reach and I dont want those classroom materials to lose their "appeal"; what we do is just help her practice the skills she learned at school using the materials we can find at home. Tipid pa 😍😍😍 P.S. I was invited to do a talk on Money Management for Parents - including the basics of investing and this will be for FREE (Kara also has her investment story book which is awesome by the way, great to set good financial habits early! i asked the author if we can raffle some copies during the talk too! Would you be interested in attending this?)#MomtessoriPH - #regrann

Children should be allowed to make a mess - it's part of the overall learning experience - but they should be shown how to clean it up when they're already capable (like, at toddler stage). We can help them understand the natural and logical consequence of leaving things in disarray -- they could step on a toy and slip, or they'll have a hard time finding things - like recently, Kara wasn't able to put back her animal figurine into the tray and somehow it just disappeared and we still can't find it - we didn't "scold" her, she just realized her animal farm set is missing a horse and ever since, she always checks if everything is back in its place.
It's a fact that children copy what they see and hear, so it is key to model the behavior that you expect of your children. If there are other people that your child gets to interact with (grandparents, much older siblings, nanny), it's important that they model the same behavior you expect too. If they see you're messy, you are going to have a difficult time encouraging your child to be tidy and clean, as they will mimic your actions unintentionally.

Establishing a routine (in the sense of sequence and having an orderly environment, not referring to the time per se) is also a big help for Kara to acquire this habit of packing away.
As Dr. Montessori said: "There should be a place for everything, and everything should be in its place." For those who asked:
Working Mat are from @bonjourbabyworld , the geometric solids are from @curiouskidshub πŸ˜‰

A kid getting a bruise for the first time may feel a rush of complex emotions. He/she has not been wounded, yet out of nowhere this purplish circle appears on the skin. Out of curiosity, the kid touches the bruise, and that inquisitive look quickly turns into a grimace. Apparently, these circles are painful and shouldn't be touched at all.

What are bruises? Bruises happen when a part of the body is injured and blood from the damaged capillaries (small blood vessels) leaks out. With no place to go, the blood gets trapped under the skin, forming a red or purplish mark that's tender when you touch it β€” a bruise.

It will go away on its own for a week or two, so generally it shouldn't be a cause of panic. However, you should have your child checked if the bruise didn't go away for more than two weeks, if it's swelling abnormally or if you think you broke a bone near the bruise, or if bruises start appearing on the body for no apparent reason.

When we say UV Care is tested and effective, we mean it!

Quick trivia: While UVC applications have been in use in other countries for years, this is basically new technology to us consumers. Before we brought this in, the owners of UV Care tapped 3rd party laboratories to ensure we have written, scientific proof on the effectivity of UV Care products and the technology behind it. To see is to believe after all.
Here's another proof from Tagaytay Medical Center that we are true to our words.

Kids nowadays are asked to memorize the capitals of each country, train station names, and mineral elements... why not ask them to memorize their medical history? By asking them to remember their allergies, the medicines that they take, or the vaccines that they had, we are equipping them with vital information that could help first aiders save their lives if they experience injuries due to a disaster.

The Philippines is currently experiencing flooding that we have not experienced in recent decades. In fact, many families today have reported that their homes are being reached by flood waters for the first time in their lives. How will you prepare your child for this calamity?

Make sure that your children are familiar with the game "The Floor is Lava." In this game, the ultimate goal is to stay away from "lava" in order for them not to get hurt. When the flood comes, announce that you will begin playing, so the children must do all they can to avoid the flood.

Subsequently, explain to your kids that germs and other harmful elements are present in flood waters, and they may make them really sick. The dangers of leptospirosis and other flood-related diseases are far greater than the joy of playing in flood.

It is not only a thing to wipe your face with. In times of emergency, a handkerchief is your friend. Here are some things that you can do with it:

1. It can be used as a sling around an injured arm.
2. It can bandage an exposed wound.
3. It can help clean a cut, along with soap and water.
4. It can help cool someone who is suffering from heat exhaustion.
5. It can cover food.
6. It can help you carry food and other belongings when hiking, by turning it into a mini-sack.
7. In extreme cases, it can help you filter out foreign objects from water.
8. In more extreme cases, a bright-colored hanky can serve as a signal flag for rescuers.

Where else can you use a hanky during an emergency? Let us know below!

How do you clean your house once it has been invaded by cold or flu? Our homes can become one petri dish as one family member after another get sick. Yes, we can control how we clean our surfaces and surroundings... but how can we eliminate something that we can't see?
With just a click of a button, let UV Care take care of this for you.

In as much as we want to protect our homes from flooding, there is only so much we can do. Once the flood recedes, we get the chance to remove all traces of these devastation as quickly as possible by cleaning every nook and cranny. Playing is one of the most important things we can do with our children. It is essential because it gives them lots of different ways to learn. However, it is also important to ensure that the space they are in does not pose a threat to their health and well-being. A clean space is important. A sterilized space is vital.

Active Fun recognizes this fact so they make sure that their facilities are free of germs, viruses, and bacteria so parents can just sit back and relax while watching their kids enjoy their play time fun.

Hi All, I hope all of you and your relatives are safe and not affected by the crazy weather.
I just wanted to share my blog post last year. Part of our #PreparedEnvironment is having a "grab bag" and I was quite glad to know during the PTA meeting at Kara's school that they also teach kids about emergency preparedness.
Everyone in the househould should have some basic supplies on hand in order to survive for at least three days if an emergency occurs.

However, it is important that individuals review this list and consider where they live and the unique needs of their family in order to create an emergency supply kit that will meet these needs. Individuals should also consider having at least two emergency supply kits, one full kit at home and smaller portable kits in their workplace, vehicle or other places they spend a lot of time. Keep safe and dry!!! #emergencypreparedness

Regrann from @theprojectmommyger - It was very interesting to read the feedback for my first talk with @ogalalaworld - parents also asked for a talk on potty training, The Montessori Way.
I will just post what we did here πŸ˜‰

As with anything Montessori, the key is to FOLLOW THE CHILD and PREPARE THE ENVIRONMENT. β€œLearning to use the toilet is a natural process that begins when your child’s desire to be grown up and his neurological development have reached the point where he can control his bladder and bowels. We don’t train children to use the toilet, we support them when they are ready.” (How to Raise an Amazing Child: The Montessori way to bring up caring confident children, by Tim Seldin)

According to Montessorians, children usually enter a sensitive period for potty training between 18 to 24 months. So introduce a child-size potty chair around this time, and then watch for your child to show signs of interest. Guide and encourage children when they show interest, but DON’T FORCE the issue. Making them sit for a time on a potty before they are ready will feel like punishment (and there are plenty of psychological and physioligical effects for forcing it to be done before they are physically and emotionally ready, like tendency to hoard or to have UTI). I blogged about the signs of readiness & how we prepared for this and in 3 days, Kara learned to poo (solid), and water poo (wee wee) in the toilet! She still has accidents when we go diaperless while she sleeps at night so she is wearing training pants but recently she would actually wake us up and say β€œmama, papa, need to water poo!” Also, RELAX PARENTS! Let’s Respect the child’s timing. Montessori is all about raising happy and confident children ❀️❀️❀️#MomtessoriPH - #regrann

I can't remember a day when it hasn't rained. Anyway, Kara was asking me earlier if we can go to Africa because she wants to see a hippopotamus. And of course my husband, a.k.a. Mr. Wikipedia as we lovingly refer to him for all his trivias - told our 2.9 year old daughter that hippos have caused the most number of human fatalities in Africa... Okay, way to scare me! So, I just invited Kara if she just wants to use her set of Safari animal stamps... HOW TO INVITE (according to Montessori teachers): Ask --
"Are you interested in this material? Do you want me to show you how to use it?". This step is important for two reasons: first, because there is a great difference between inviting a child to do something and telling him to do something. And second, because the child will later have to put the material back, so it is good that he knows where you got it from. Babies and toddlers have their own way of communicating "yes" in a non-verbal manner - they could already be trying to do it, you just need to demo if it's their first time to use it, but if it's an open ended activity, just let them explore (with their safety as top priority) 😊 #preparedadult #preparedenvironment #rainydayactivities

Seriously, one of Kara's favorite activities - Stacking and Nesting!!! She started with blocks when she was about 6 months old and able to sit, then by 18 months, she really enjoyed using her Matryoshka Doll. There are so many skills they can acquire by this simple activity. For one, stacking or nesting works on depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and understanding where your body is in space.  As you put each piece on top of the other, you have to visually gauge where to place each piece both in relation to yourself, and in relation to the other pieces. It's also problem solving in action. This is one of her favorite materials and we did ask her if she is fine with sharing them and she said yes 😍😍😍 (but the bee hive and other favorites remain in her room). #matryoshka #bonjourbabyworld #preparedenvironment

How sweet is this little girl 😍😍😍 Kara said: "I'm cleaning for the playgroup tomorrow!" Through practical life exercises, a child will gain confidence, self-sufficiency and the ability to properly interact with others in their world. During the PTA meeting earlier, Kara's teacher did say that she seriously loves to clean and was saying: "wash or wipe hands after shaking hands because there's germs!" Anyway, really excited for the first playgroup session! Good Night! Been up since 5am and been driving all day from one meeting to another. #preparedadult #preparedenvironment #practicallife

11

Still can't believe we have a schoolgirl already 😍😍😍 Kara told me earlier: "mom, may I bring Twiga to school? ____ brought her hippo. She said it lives in Africa, Twiga is also from Africa." (Haba ng sinabi ni Kara 😊 It's the first PTA Meeting later & I'm so curious what the kids have been up to! Why are they talking about Africa? 😊) To be honest, my biggest fear with Kara going to school was experiencing bullying or not being able to connect with her peers. When I was still studying, we had a pull-out system (we were separated from the rest and trained to join those LG Quizbees...not sure if you are familiar with that TV show... but I personally didn't like the whole "I have to study hard because I need to win a contest!") I'm totally fine with competition but not because others are "forcing" me to get a prize or reward.
Young children, as well as adults, learn better when they are engaged in an activity that they enjoy. By providing children with activities that they enjoy and find stimulating, a love of learning is fostered. External rewards such as trophies or prizes do not supply the same amount of satisfaction as self-respect and a sense of pride. It wont be sustainable either. Anyway, so happy with the environment because the older kids in class help the younger ones. They all get the chance to lead or teach each other. Glad to learn about #Montessori thanks to hubby too for enlightening me too, he's a product of #montessorieducation 😍😍😍 P.S. Hi @tinybudsbaby - Kara really loves Twiga and the book on gratitude 😘

I've realized... I don't really have a photo of me breastfeeding my boss baby.
.
But that's ok.
.
All I care about is that he's happy with his milk supply (and is a happy baby in general), and he's growing and developing on point. πŸ’―
.
The breastfeeding journey isn't easy.
.
The first few days, weeks will be hard (it was a month thereabouts for me). Engorged breasts, sore and raw nipples, sleepless nights because you have to feed baby every so often.
.
Baby is adjusting, you are adjusting.
.
It is not an easy task.
.
But you will pass thru that ordeal (if I may call it that ), the sore nipples will disappear... and your body will supply the necessary amount for baby's demand (our bodies are amazing, mamas).
.
But if you're on a journey that seems more difficult than what I've experienced--- Do not stress, mama.
.
Motherhood is motherhood and no two experiences are alike. Do not pressure yourself with societal norms. Do not hate yourself or your body.
.
If there doesn't seem to be enough milk supply for your baby (despite the water, malunggay, food supplements and lactation goodies), it's ok.
.
I repeat, it's ok.
.
It doesn't make you less of a mom if you don't (or can't) exclusively breastfeed. If you're mixed feeding or are formula feeding.
.
You're an awesome mom. And baby loves you so much.
.
It's National Breastfeeding Awareness month.
.
And I can imagine how this could also alienate some mommas.
.
So I'm sending out this message and baby's and my hugs and kisses.
.
You're amazing, mama. You absolutely are. πŸ’•

What is the difference between the UV Care Portable Germ Zapper and UV Care Air Purifier?
The Portable Germ Zapper addresses sterilization of surfaces and objects within a 15 sq meter space. Use of this device also prevents virus from spreading within the household. Since the Zapper is equipped with high intensity lamps, the 4Ps are not allowed inside the room while sterilization is ongoing: people, plants, pets and even paintings.
Meanwhile, our Air Purifiers sterilize air within a room freeing it of dust and allergens. Is it safe for people to be inside the room while the Air Purifier is turned on? Yes it is! The UVC lamp is installed inside the unit and directed at the filters to ensure that air coming out will be germ, virus and bacteria free, therefore, there is no exposure to anyone inside the room.
If you have questions on the best UV Care product to use, DM us anytime or visit any of our kiosks. We would be glad to help with your questions!

Let me ask you this question: How many years do we spend learning how to earn a living? How come we don't also spend time to learn what to do with our earnings?

I'm inviting you to attend my talk entitled "MONEY MATTERS, MOMMY MATTERS." I retired from the corporate world at 30 and decided to become an entrepreneur. I looked before I leaped of course. Are we ready as a family? It seems okay to take risks when no one depends on you, but once you have a child - every risk you take must be calculated.

Let's discuss the following, and don't worry - I will explain the jargons in the simplest way possible (that even our yaya started investing) with the help of seasoned Financial Analysts from @colfinancial - What do we prepare for each Life Stage - How to Budget & Make money work FOR you (instead of you working for money) - How to understand investments and build wealth (and why you should have started YESTERDAY)

I witnessed a touching scene after dropping off Kara to school. Kim and I wait for Kara everyday (I work and have meetings nearby - she goes and chats with the other yayas). She came back and told me another yaya gave an Aloe Vera plant for her and Kara to take care of. So Sweet!!! Have to research how to take care of this 😍😍😍 She was also asked by some yayas how they manage screen time at home --- so touching because they were exchanging ideas on activities to do. Kim said she shared about my rule on gadgets - not used for stealing time for oneself, but for interactive play (always engage the child so they don't zone out, aside from putting limits on duration and apps - Kara probably uses the iPad for 30-60 mins a week, to sing and dance to Dave and Eva songs or use the Neobear app to hear the names of the 3D animals in Mandarin). Anyway, I'm really happy because Kim made friends too! Excited for the "Yaya Does Montessori" talk on the 25th 😍😍😍 #MontessoriNanny #CarefortheEnvironment #preparedadult

In as early as 2013, studies have confirmed on the effectiveness of UVC. How is UVC lethal to microorganisms? β€’ UVC light at an optimal wavelength of 253.7 nm penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism
β€’ The high energy photos of the UVC light are absorbed by the cell proteins and DNA/RNA
β€’ UVC damages the protein structure causing metabolic disruption
β€’ DNA is chemically altered so they no longer metabolise and replicate β€’ When the organism tries to replicate, it dies
UV Care products are equipped with UVC lamps to ensure that you and your loved ones will get to experience a safer, healthier, and germ-free environment. Get the best care with UV Care.

We did a little game after school, Kara would collect the Geometric shapes we got from @incyrooms while in the pool - I wasn't prepared for the next part of the game which this little girl initiated - she was naming them and wanted me to name them too! I totally forgot what's the term for the ball... I almost said "ball?" LOL (and remembered it's called a sphere!) I was asking her where she learned about it, and she said her Teacher was showing her some blue shapes at school (the geometric solids). Funny, I also forgot the term for the rectangle in 3D! Care to guess? Anyway, these shapes we play with are made of natural Latex and finished with natural dyes so it's safe for babies to gnaw or gum on. I think this would be a cool grasping material too for those starting to move around because the colors are so bright! Majority of the playgroup attendees are below 18 mos so I'm sure they'll enjoy exploring this basket of shapes too (don't worry, we clean all our materials πŸ˜‰) #MontessoriMaterials #Swimming #waterplay #babyswimming #incyroomsph

Unknowingly, we introduce Math to our kids in our day to day activities and conversations - not because we want them to become geniuses but to enable them to differentiate and communicate what they need or want. "Kara always tells me: I want the big apples, not the small ones." Kids naturally learn dimensions, shapes & counting -- & by counting, I'm not referring to memorization but real understanding of QUANTITY. I shared this before, but let me discuss what we did in detail. You can read the Montessori Method or listen to Maren Schmidt's webinars but ill just simplify what they said -- Understanding one-to-one correspondence is key in order to learn to count properly. In order to achieve this, count things all the time in front of your child, and do it slowly: say a number and touch an object, pause, then say the next number and touch the next object, etc. The pauses are very important, as it is actually touching each object. This way, children understand that each number corresponds to one object only. Start with small groups (three or four objects will suffice) until you are sure the child is able to match one number word with one object only. It will be easier if you start counting groups of identical objects, to avoid confusion. Last night, Kara was playing with 10 pompoms - she was matching the number of pompoms to the number symbol. She was doing combinations of numbers that make up 10 because all she had was 10 pompoms (like 7 & 3). She doesn't know she is already doing "addition". She was just observing that both 6 & 4, and 7 & 3 make 10 pompoms πŸ˜„ #montessorichild #Math #MontessoriMath #FirstPlaneofDevelopment #preparedAdult

Can an animal scratch infect us? We all know the answer if the scratch is bleeding, wherein first aid is necessary. However, if the scratch is not bleeding at all, should we still apply first aid?

Mommy Fix-It says YES, we should.
Remember, the skin can still tear at a microscopic level, and some of the most potent bacteria can enter our body even at the smallest tear on our skin. If your child is scratched by an animal, even if it is caused by your beloved pet, make sure to clean the scratched area with soap and water, then apply a thin spread of antibiotic cream across it. This will eliminate the chances of bacteria from entering the body.

Our first Disaster Preparedness infographic is about typhoons.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released a color-coded rainfall warning to help us assess the amount of rainfall that we are expecting for a certain day. This is especially helpful during school days in the typhoon season.

These are the codes that we need to look out for:
(1) YELLOW - This means that we are expecting around 7.5-15mm of rain, or about 2 gallons per square meter per hour. Flooding is possible, so we must start monitoring the weather condition. (2) ORANGE - This means that we are expecting around 15-30mm of rain, or about 4-8 gallons per square meter per hour. Since the warning has elevated, flooding WILL happen. Those who are living in low-lying areas must be alert and prepare for evacuation. (3) RED - This is the most alarming level. It means that we are expecting more than 30mm of rain, or 8 gallons per square meter per hour. Evacuation is already mandatory, as serious flooding will occur.

How will you get your kids to participate in disaster preparation? Ask your kids to turn on the TV or radio and listen to weather updates, then ask them which color warning is announced. Prepare a small bag for them where they can stuff their things inside (i.e. toys and clothes), then do drills on how to evacuate.

Check out our post tomorrow for the next tip on disaster preparation! *source: "Batang Handa, Batang Ligtas". Center for Disaster Preparedness Foundation. cdp.org.ph

For the next five days starting tomorrow, we will be doing an infographic series on basic disaster awareness and aversion, preparation, and management. Don't worry, mommies and daddies, Mommy Fix-It will make sure that the explanation will be easy for kids to graph. You can save these images on your phone in order for your kids to get back to it when disaster happens.

Forgive my harrassed look, I had an extremely long day and drove for 2 hours to get home.
The minute I arrived, Kara asked me to wear the wings and pretend we were butterflies. So I just decided to sing her this song. After hearing it twice, she started singing with me. At one point, while we were singing together - Kara realized she was singing the wrong lyrics.
I didn't tell her she was wrong - I just went on to sing the right lyrics.
Making mistakes is important. She was able to spot the difference on her own. When you read about Dr. Montessori's work - she would lovingly refer to parents and teachers as GUIDES: the goal is not to have us correct children's mistakes. Rather, it is to keep their attention fixed in activities in such a way that they will continue the exercises themselves until they have developed the ability to distinguish if there is a "mistake". This is such an excellent mindset, not giving up because you failed but trying again and again until you succeed.

Anyway, my hubby said Kara didn't want to leave school when he picked her up earlier. It makes me really happy to see how much she loves school. 😍😍😍😍😍 #KaraGoestoCasa #MontessoriEducation #MotherDaughter #SingingTime

We all aim to keep our loved ones from injury, especially our children. This is the main reason why safety is synonymous with first aid: that in order to make sure that we are safe at all times, we should be aware of the basic steps in first aid.
Make sure to visit our website at www.firstaidforkids.ph for more information about safety and first aid in families.

We always remind our little ones to always, always brush their teeth.
However, we adults must also be reminded that our toothbrushes can also play host to more than 100 million bacteria. Sure, we can't see them but that does not mean they are not there.
Our Family Toothbrush Sterilizer ensures that you and your family are protected from these harmful microorganisms so you can brush your teeth everyday while keeping the bacteria away!

On our way to school, it started raining and we were surprised when Kara asked: "Why does it rain, mama?" So my dilemma - how to explain the whole concept? Dr. Montessori did say, try to explain it in a CONCRETE way for kids below 6 years old (it's easier for them to grasp). Got a cotton, my pipette, and water with some food coloring. I asked Kara to use the pipette to transfer drops of water into the cotton.
To simplify it - tiny drops of water rise up and they combine to form a cloud, as the cloud grows bigger and is too heavy to stay up there in the air, it releases drops of water - which we call RAIN.
Talking about evaporation and condensation to a 2.9 year old would be too complicated but after doing this liquid transfer activity, Kara told me: "So that's why it rains!" 😊😊😊 #practicallife #Science #whydoesitrain #diymontessori

Regrann from @theprojectmommyger - Happy Monday everyone!!! Hope your week started great! Anyway, moving from one place to another is tough. We cant really set-up things as much as I want that is why, I have developed a penchant for just repurposing and ensuring we only invest on things we will still be using in the future. As for #konmari (a method of decluttering) - it helped me discover we have all these gifts that Kara hasn't used, like the See and Spell flipbook and the letter ref magnets. We didn't use these for spelling, but for letter recognition activities. Matching activities help develop visual discrimination and concentration which are very important skills to have before learning to read.Anyway, before we did this, we made sure Kara knew the letter sounds first (so the symbols make sense to her, otherwise it will be confusing to make the association and read later on). When you research how children read, studies would show that children sound each letter individually, and then blend those sounds into syllables, which end up forming words. P.S. not rushing her to write or read, but helping improve concentration (Kara spends half day at school now).

This was Kara after school, munching on her apples. Everyday, I work at a nearby coffee shop and hold my meetings there while she's in class. Was thinking of postponing her schooling for another year (we were lucky they allowed her to join Casa already even if she isn't 3 yet) but... every after school, THIS IS HER FACE - SO HAPPY!!! There are days when she would whine after class because she still wanted to stay. I remember even wanting to be sick while I was still studying - I wasn't this excited. Anyway, I think empowering her at home to choose what, when or how to play/learn has really helped her develop a love for learning. As for me, I'm forever questionning whether I should have stayed in Corporate instead of going for the entrepreneurial route -- I admit - I miss all the perks, now I'm more conscious of how I spend - kaya panay #DIY nalang!!! But hubby said - he has never seen me this happy nor excited even if at times it's a struggle. I'm just glad we learned about #investing , helps to have multiple income sources - seriously, it is extremely important to discuss about your budget and how to allocate it. Anyway, I'll share more about it - also asked @colfinancial to help more parents understand it (it's not as complicated as one would think... glad they're going to host a talk on this on Sept 1). Will share more on this later. #MoneyMattersMommyMatters #Budgeting101 #FamilyBudget

Launching #MontessoriMondays in @momtessori PH FB group (instead of having so many threads) - every Monday, we'll have a new thread. You can search this # moving forward to find answers to questions you may have on Montessori Method and Philosophy (including Discipline as this is a recurring question). 2 Simple Rules:

1. Show respect to everyone. This is a safe zone to learn and ask. 😊

2. ANYONE can answer and share their thoughts to questions raised. We are all in this group to help each other understand the Philosophy better, and in the Philippine context.
I've also invited Montessori Educators in the Philippines to help provide insights and share. It is good to understand Montessori from a local perspective as well.

Ex Barrameda, Head teacher of South Luzon Abba's Orchard Campuses (AMI)

Julie Castellotti, owner and Head Teacher of La Maison Montessori de Pekin (AMS)

Aiza Yparraguirre Aca-ac, Owner and Head of School for Cantilan Montessori School in Caraga Region (AMI)
For online resources from Educators, I really love watching the e-learning seminars of Maren Schmidt - AMI educator for 30+ yrs ("Kids Talk"), author of Understanding Montessori, and Simone Davies of @themontessorinotebook , AMI educator for 15 yrs and school owner (she is also the author of The Montessori Toddler). And for Montessori Parenting in PH - there are too many to mention! Each has their own unique way of applying it 😍😍😍 #montessoriinthephilippines #montessoriparenting #momtessoriph

Molds grow where there is moisture. If left unchecked, do you know molds can grow in your aircon filters too?
According to the CDC, In 2004 the Institute of Medicine (IOM) found there was sufficient evidence to link indoor exposure to mold with upper respiratory tract symptoms, cough, and wheeze in otherwise healthy people; with asthma symptoms in people with asthma; and with hypersensitivity pneumonitis in individuals susceptible to that immune-mediated condition. The IOM also found limited or suggestive evidence linking indoor mold exposure and respiratory illness in otherwise healthy children.β€œ While you can prevent mold build up in areas you can easily see and access, let our UV Care Aircon Sterilizer do the job for you in keeping your AC filter mold and germ free...so you can rest easy and get a good night’s sleep.
