I’ve been refraining from making smoothie bowls cause I always feel bad using my loud ass blender in the dorm, but this morning I was really craving one and I ended up with this delicious breakfast. Apologies if anyone on my floor was napping😬
I’ve decided I want to use this platform to talk about more than just food. So my topic of the day: following through with goals. I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time talking about the things I want to do, then have trouble finding motivation when the time comes to actually follow through. After coming back from break, I’ve decided to dedicate myself to breaking this habit. One thing I’ve wanted for a while is to get up early before class and start my mornings with a workout and a good breakfast, rather than rolling out of bed 15 minutes before class and grabbing a granola bar to eat on my way there. So far I’ve followed through with this for 3 days, and although it’s just a start, I’m really proud.
Here’s my advice to anyone struggling with a similar issue... when you are contemplating whether or not to go out and do whatever it is you want to do (whether that’s working out, getting started on that paper, etc.), think of how you will feel after completing the task vs. after procrastinating for an hour and getting nothing done. You deserve to experience the first feeling.
