This self-propelled snowblower clears snow from airport runways to help reduce flight delays. (via @techthatmatters)
Made in Norway by Øveraasen AS, it's called the TV 1000 snowblower and it can remove up to 8,500 tons of snow per hour by launching it to a distance of 35 meters away.
The machine is mounted with a "Flying Cab", which allows the driver to be placed in the front or back of the blower chute, to ensure optimal view during blizzards, clearing or casting.
The snowblower has been designed for heavy-duty snow clearing operations at airports and can handle any type of snow with depths from 1 cm up to 2 meters, - in one go!
It has two diesel engines which ensure power for both propulsion and snow removal capacity with its combined 1000 horsepower. It has a top speed of 60 km/h and a clearing width of 11 feet.
