We love to celebrate Remarkable Women around us and today let me introduce you to Amber. .
She goes by mom, wife, sister, daughter, co-worker, project manager, coach, team leader, etc. Some days (ok, most days) it's easy for her to get lost in all the hats she wears. As a perfectionist, She strived to live the lie that she had it all figured out - that she could do everything, and be everything to everyone.
But on the inside she was crumbling, exhausted, unhappy, and hurting. Instead of doing life as God had intended - in authentic relationship with those around her - she choose to try and control everything around her for fear that someone might figure out how broken she really was.
Reality is, we can't control everything around us, and God loves us too much to allow us to continue to live in our brokenness. Her freedom process began when her "perfect life" came crashing down and she was forced to confront all the damage her life of perfection had created.
Her heart is for women who feel they have to live a lie in order to be accepted; in order to feel worthy; in order to be loved; in order to be enough. It's easy to feel lost, less than, and inadequate.
But the truth is we all struggle. We all have hang-ups, insecurities, and lies we believe that steal our joy, no matter how perfect our life looks from the outside.
Her joy is now rooted in the fact that she is not what she does . She is not what she has. She is not what people say about her. She is chosen, free, and loved by God, simply for being her, just as she is in this exact moment, imperfections and all.
She is enough. And so are you. . ”For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
