Adventure in sourdough baking As a French girl, I love bread - a lot. I always thought it was impossible to bake some at home (the starter, the proofing, the oven, etc) but I decided to give it a try. And... IT IS POSSIBLE! Yes it takes time, yes it’s not fail proof but there’s nothing more rewarding than baking your own (good) bread. But first thing first, you have to start and that is with a starter. A starter is nothing more than flour + water that turns to life. It’s crazy how fast it becomes alive, it’s like a pet that you have to feed, it requires love and care. Mine is called Gluon - and thanks to him I baked my first amazing loaf.
