#moonmindfulnesschallenge Day 5! Last day with the moon in Leo until the next lunar cycle!
Leo in my 11th house—the house of friendship, acquaintances, and the people you surround yourself with to reach your dreams. Last night felt like the perfect combination of the Leo and 11th house energies. Hanging with good and new friends, watching an amazing local band perform to celebrate @yogi_vision ’s birthday (hair-braider extraordinaire) yesterday!
Leo is a very warm and generous sign. This energy wants to give and give to make the people we love feel special. Leo is the performer—wanting to give their energy to entertain the others around them (their audience).
However, Leo isn’t always conscious of the conditional ways of giving time, energy, love, support, etc. Leo is very generous, but they expect something in return (thus, conditional). For example, If you show up to your friend’s wedding, but then they don’t show up to your birthday dinner, you may feel resentful...maybe even slightly vengeful. Leo can want tit for tat relationships with their benevolence.
For this last day of the Leo moon, be aware of your intentions when you are being charitable to others. Are you giving because deep down you expect this person would do the same for you in this situation? Or are you giving because you genuinely want to please the other person, and expect NOTHING in return.
Unconditional love and sharing can be hard to do. It can be vulnerable. However, we usually set ourselves up for disappointment when we have an attachment to how people respond to us or treat us.
Today, and everyday, let’s try to give without attachment and expectation and just realize that the Universal Law of Cause & Effect (law of karma) will energetically bring us the same energy back to us that we gave out to others. It just may not be in the way you expect.
