Rezultati istrazivanja pokazuju da ne postoji nijedan element, sastojak u zivotinjskog hrani koji se ne moze naci u dovolljnoj kolicini i u biljnoj hrani, tako da je koriscenje zivotinjske hrane nepotrebno i stetno za zdravlje coveka!
Uzmimo primer proteina: Rec protein je uvedena u 1839 od strane holanskog hemicara. Rec proteos je uzeta iz starogrckog jezika sto znaci “najvaznije”. Krajem 19-tog i pocetkom 20-tog veka meso postaje sinonim za protein, jer je otkriveno da je u mesu velika kolicina proteina. Kasnije se otkriva da se protein iz mesa brzo absorbuje tako da su naucnici nazvali zivotinjsku hranu protein visokog kvaliteta. Naravno sve je to imalo veiki impakt na ljude i industrije. Cak i danas prvo pitanje koje svi postavljeju kada im se ponudi zdrava ishrana biljnog porekla  je “Da li u toj hrani ima dovoljno proteina”I odgovor je “Naracno da ima.” Ima vise nego dovoljno proteina i onoliko koliko nam treba ljudskoj vrsti. Drugo, to je biljni proteini su prava vrsta proteina koja nam je potrebna. Biljni proteini se absorbuju brzinom koja je idealna za ljudsku homesostazu. Dokazano je da je unosenje zivotinjskih proteina stetno za ljude a posebno je opasna njegova brza apsorpcija.

If you have got shoulder problems or bad posture, you probably have some tight neck muscles. If you have rounded shoulders or you find your shoulders always in a shrugged position, try stretching out your neck muscles. Tight neck flexor muscles are quite common, but tight/overactive upper traps are one of he most common issues. It can especially occur if you perform quite a bit of lower and upper body pulling movements, as your traps, along with other muscles, try to hold your scapula (shoulder blade) in place. Having tight neck muscles can affect scapulohumeral rhythm, which can result in injury, and also a decrease in performance. Shoulder health and good posture play a massive role in moving efficiently and explosively without injury.

Shoulder Rehab

🏂 It’s been about a month since a snowboarding wipeout left me with a bum shoulder, so right now my focus is strengthening within comfortable ranges of motion. It’s not uncommon for open chain movements (hands moving through the air) to be more painful than closed chain (hands fixed on the wall, ground, etc) but here are a few that I can comfortably perform.

🍑 For the first exercise, I like to keep my abs braced and glutes engaged to prevent my paraspinals (those long ropey muscled down the length of your spine) from stealing the show.
.
⏬ in the second exercise, the decreased range of motion allows me to strengthen my posterior shoulder without pain. Eventually I’ll work up to performing this through a full range of motion, which will require me to lie on a bench or box. I also keep my shoulder blade squeezed back on this to really isolate the posterior part of my rotator cuff & posterior delt.
.
✈️ the final exercise is a dumbbell raise performed in what PTs like to call the “scapular plane” This is a great starting point because it typically is more comfortable than a traditional front raise or lateral raise. Again, my range of motion was dictated by my symptoms.

Here @team_elevation_fitness all athletes must undergo our 4 week 'Learn to train' Phase (LTT) to help develop fundamental movement skills and running technique.

Most sports outside of track sprinting do not offer the platform to showcase maximum running speed, yet sprint training does underlie the foundation of numerous sports activities. Just think of how many critical game situations in various sports are won or lost by the ability - or lack thereof - to shift into higher gear when needed. Increasing maximum running speed has a direct correlation with increasing ones power output. The fastest runners are those athletes who spend less time on the ground, which is greatly determined by the athletes' strength and power in relation to their body composition. Although maximum speed is rarely achieved in sports, proper running mechanics and speed training will improve any athlete's sport speed.

Checkout University soccer athlete, @mmchristian17 of @ucalgarydinos training out of #ElevationFitness going through phase 1, day 1 (LTT phase) - Run mechanics. ⚽️👣🔥 - Arm Swing: This will help train the correct position of the arms as the hands pass the lowest point of the swing by avoiding contact with the ground.

DETECTING ASYMMETRIES IN FUNCTIONAL PATTERNS
.
Utilising Center of Pressure (COP) testing through Single Leg Drop and Stick Test we were able to identify key weaknesses and dysfunctional patterns that may or may not be picked up by classical strength testing.
.
Firstly, the weaker (R) leg took just over 5% more time to gain stability compared to the stronger (L) leg. This borderlines on our acceptable margin and is absolutely significant in the grand schemes of athletic performance; just imagine that right leg working 5% harder on every step of a sprint, it adds up!
.
By assessing the COP graphs on the weaker (R) leg it was clear this athlete had a natural pull towards the outer regions of this leg and had to fight it to regain balance; whereas the stronger (L) side was quite balanced and centered upon ground contact.
.
So, how did we interpret this information? The reason this athlete was pulled laterally (on the R side) upon ground contact was due to tight TFL and IT band complex that’s over dominating the forces to the outside of the body.
.
So our solution was simple. Release the tight complexes while facilitating the anti-rotating to get them activated. Questions welcome :)

⬇️ There are THREE types of athletes ⬇️
-
1️⃣ The average athlete. This athlete enjoys sports and may enjoy competing, but they don’t have a strong desire to be great.
-
They don’t set any personal goals - they just show up, do what coach tells them, and skedaddle as soon as practice is over 🏃🏻‍♂️💨

2️⃣ The above-average athlete approaches competition and training more seriously. They have a desire to be great, but they don’t know to get there. They train hard, but not smart.
-
They might have a few ideas floating in their mind about what they want to accomplish, but nothing solidified on paper.
-
They’re lacking a clearly defined goal or roadmap to get them to the next level.

3️⃣ The elite athletes are the few athletes who actually write out their goals and review them every single day. They’re extremely motivated and confident because their desire for greatness is matched with a crystal clear plan on how to get there.

These athletes train hard and smart. Everything they do has purpose. It’s all deliberate action inching them closer to their goals.

❗️So today’s takeaway: If you want to be elite - the first step is figuring out what you want and writing it down. It’s just a wish until it’s out of your head and on paper.

Ok...so you guys all know I have the coolest job ever, right? 🤘🏼

Here is yet another test we have available at @enrgperformance: sweat-sodium concentration. 💦

As it turns out, I have a low salt sweat concentration with 716mg of sodium per liter of sweat. The highest concentration we have tested thus far was 1986mg per L.

Using @precisionhydration technology, we are able to collect a small sample of sweat by placing electrodes on the forearm and stimulating the sweat glands. 👩🏻🔬

We then run the sample through the machine and it determines the salt content!

To coaches, trainers, instructors and teachers:
Good coaching is a rare art form. I was a competitive athlete for nearly 20 years, and I'm coming up on 10 years of coaching/instructing/training. As time passes and the more experience I gather, the line between teacher and student seems to blur more and more, and feel I learn more in my 'teacher' role than my 'student' one. A good coach should remain forever open to learning, allowing flexibility in their views and room for improvement. Zen philosophy's "empty cup". I have seen, and continue to see, many people step into the coaching role, or finish their formal education and immediately stop seeking new knowledge and don their crown & septer of authoritian 'boss' coaching. I cannot stand to see young players ask questions or offer contradictory views and get shot down with parental hubris and punishment exercise. If you cannot explain your methods and directions please find a new profession. Coaches: question what you think you know 'for sure'. Remain a student yourself. Never stop learning and growing. Your students and life itself have much to teach YOU!

Understanding that the nutritional habits of your athletes are just that, habits. One of the newer projects that some of the student athletes have asked for is help with how they’re fueling. Our plan is to take a week or so and just look at what they select and then discuss one small change that they could make. Multiple small changes can lead to larger ones in the long run, but as we know, trying to make a huge 180 degree change in a behavior may not be the best way to lead to a successful alteration in behavior.
