“I workout because I want to be skinny”
Nope nope nope, wrong-O. ☝🏻
Some women are naturally built slimmer and/or taller, with faster metabolisms, which is awesome. Wtg ectomorphs!
Some women (me) are short and squat, naturally muscular and able build/retain muscle easily, but store fat like our lives depend on it. (Once upon a famine, they did) ain’t no thigh gap goin on here friends🥖 #mesomorphintime 👍🏻 The thing is though, none of the above defines us as worse or better. And it sure as hell shouldn’t be a reason that you don’t think you’re enough.
I workout and eat well because I want to create good habits that carry my body strongly into my future.
I won’t always be able to duck under or hop over things. I want to thank my body for everything it does, and challenge it to see where it can take me. I want to set my body up for the success to stay strong as I age. And most importantly, because it makes me FEEL good.
My wish for you, is that you workout because you love yourself, and you know that it is good for your physical and mental health. That you eat healthy AND indulge, because you understand balance. I want you to be so in love with having a healthy, happy body that you forget what it’s “supposed” to look like.
Your journey is your own, IF you make it about what you want. Not what you think other people want to see. ❤️
