Why sprout seeds? Firstly, if you buy sprouts you might have heard that they are finding sprouts sold in stores to be contaminated with E.Coli. Now lets figure out what sprouts are. Sprouts are just seeds that you germinate for 3 to 5 days after the beginning process your product is ready for consumption. Sprouts offer much higher nutritional value than their fully grown forms up to 100 times. They have the highest nutritional value per calorie of any food that exist! These puppies contain high volumes of Vitamin A, C, K , riboflavin, thiamin, niacin, folate and pathonic acid, but wait, there is more! The minerals are copper, iron, zinc, calcium, manganese and magnesium. This little guys also have protein, fiber and enzymes essential for health. You can find variety packs of sprouts with mixed seeds. These typically have broccoli, radish, alfalfa and clover seeds. You are also able to buy these seeds separately if you decide you only want to focus on certain nutrients and minerals. You can sprout, wash and dry your seeds then either consume them or put them in the freezer for later consumption. Careful though, sprouts are susceptible bacterial infection, so keep your area, hands, and materials clean. Remember that they are you seedlings, so handle them with care, though it is very easy to produce a fresh batch. There are many sprouting kits out there, but I would recommend buying 32oz wide mouth jars and special sprouting tops like the ones pictured. I also have a kit and stopped using it after my first sprouting. With all this great news about sprouting being said, we now move to the research against it. My own individual research could not find any research debunking the greatness of sprouts or saying anything bad about eating sprouts. I still implore you to do your own research and critically think for yourself. I would love to hear your thoughts on sprouts.
