🧘🏽‍♀️Started this morning off with some yoga @the_heat_locker ! Such a good way to get things going and loosen up before lifting!
🌥️we did lots of cleaning today @thehurtlockerllc !! I worked my way up to 145 lbs. (97% 1RM, 130 % bodyweight) so definitely upset with this!!
⛅️The metcon (second video) was 4 rounds of a 3 minute AMRAP ((one of my favorite types of metcons)) 😅I started my weights way too heavy for my first round and then dropped the weight to 85 lbs. so it was a little faster to move with.
🌤️Finally I did strict pull-ups!!! I did 8 unbroken ((I am so excited)) and 2 with a 20 lb. weighted vest☺️ I am so excited!!

An overwhelming amount of material is available about the “best” way to improve ankle mobility. However, it is important to remember that there is not a “best” technique for everyone. You need the right technique to address your specific limitations. Ankle mobility during a squat can be limited due to muscular restrictions, motor control, bony joint blocks, or capsular restrictions. Each limitation should be addressed differently. Have a movement expert analyze your movement patterns and prescribe the appropriate technique so you can move right, avoid injury, then move heavy. -

Today’s work I had banded deadlifts, thank sets of front squats. Followed by Lying Leg Curls- 4x12reps , Leg Press- 4x12/10/8/6, Weighted Lunges- 4x12each, Leg extensions- 4x15rep, Lying leg raises- 4x25reps, Decline Bench Crunches- 4x15reps. My weight is still coming off good, with cardio and diet getting ready for #southbeach . Back and legs are Completely beat from a whole week of training, tired for the lack of sleep and work, starving like I was... The only reason I trained today wasn't ethics, wasn't rage, wasn't commitment.
Was the rain.
It was my second DL day and I woke up excited about but, I changed my mind and decided to go home to have food and siesta and them, the storm💧 🌧️🌧️💧 So like I couldn't leave the gym I started to train. Warm up didn't felt either so couldn't decided what to do, heavy, reps, mid range for several sets.... So I start a a descent pyramid and see what happens. And.... 120kg x 12
140kg x 10
150kg x 8
160kg x 6 📹
170kg x 4 📹
180kg x 2 📹
200kg x 2 📹 PR

I did 180kg and felt quite good, so I decided to go for 200kg x 1
1st rep felt good as well so, why not try a second and get a new PR?
Yes!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 So happy about this today, feeling like shit, after holidays and with the worst 4 Training months of my life. After all this years I still having no idea how days like today just happens

Im on day 2 of my new program: it took about 1/3 of the time that 80 day obsession did and I didn't have to modify!
Normally, the first few days of a new program is all modifications for me; not this time!
I can do all the push-ups on my feet!!! Never have I been able to do real push-ups! 👐

Was feeling great on the way home after my session day. Female hormones are a bitch though. I was feeling really happy watching the little lambs in the fields then all of a sudden I start peeping 😭for no reason at all. Not quite sure if it was happy or sad tears 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Session 3 of this weeks program from @strength_by_forge.
First time front squats have been programmed in. Surprisingly to me it went better than I expected after my deadlifts. This will def be a front squat PB for me.
Sumo deadlift 110kg sets of 5. Still a work in progress to get a good set up and keep the bar closer. Back off conventional deadlifts 100kg also sets of 5.
Then 80kg 4x4 font squats.
Looking forward to actually getting down to Edinburgh for a session with the coach in the new gym tomorrow afternoon. And enjoying a session with @mrsjojobeans
I have been tracking my macros and getting daily help from @danieljackson19118 with some great fat loss results without loosing any of my muscle and strength. Over all 8.75 inches lost in 4 weeks. Just got to stay focussed now. This is normally where I give up and put it all back on so being accountable to Daniel is helping a lot. Getting great advice and support from fitness pals like @annetter123 and @mrsjojobeans helps a lot too.

Videoing yourself can be a great tool to check form if you don't have a mirror.
I was pleasantly surprised I was getting as low as I was in that squat.

Dead Front Squats (concentric squats)
These were a bastard! That face says it all!
This exercise is fantastic for self correction. As this movement will highlight and expose any weakness in several areas that make up the upper torso, such as your upper back, core, thoracic spine, among other things.
Great tool to build strength on lower body and structural integrity

Today's goal is to hit a front squat. I started with the barbel itself first for 5 sets of 10 (45lbs), 3 sets of 8 (55lbs), 3 sets of 5 (65lbs), 3 sets of 4 (75lbs) and worked my way up to (95lbs) 5 sets of 5, nailed it. Had my bf trained me first before performing it. Teehee. 😊💕
