Clip from yesterdays leg session with @lucyfitnessinsta was a savage session.

1. Squat back off set 150kg 10 reps
2. Leg press 300kg 12 reps
3. Leg extensions
To be honest this has been a long hard prep and I'm running on reserves, but it's final push now. I made the decision that in order to reach the goals I set myself I'm willing to do what ever it takes despite how I'm feeling I push though.

KNEE PAIN DURING SQUATS?

What’s up, Achievers?! @jasonlpak here with a quick tip for you if you’re experiencing knee pain while squatting. First off, if you have chronic knee pain, you definitely need to see a physical therapist to get to the root cause of the issue. If you have more of an acute knee pain issue during squatting, it could be because you might be descending a bit improperly.

While technically, most squatting variations are knee/quad dominant, you still want to initiate the movement with a hip shift back and THEN drop straight down. If you let the knees shift forward first, then you immediately place a lot of stress on them. By shifting your hips back, you’re able to distribute the stress much more evenly throughout your hips and legs and takes a lot of pressure off your knees.

Here is another perfect example of someone who has a massive social media following and is seen as an “expert” because of how she looks 🤦‍♂️.

When you're passionate about what you do, you will do anything to separate the crap from some money 💯.

We live in a society that people would rather take a pill than to lose weight than to actually eat properly, train hard & recover - remember quick fixes.

@paigehathaway is selling a waist trimmer - not only is the whole notion of thinking you can “trim” your waist by wearing one of these very uneducated it literally has 0 science to back up the claims of it! Sure you will lose some water retention due to sweat but other than that it’s literally the most useless product (along with balance bands, altitude masks etc) you could buy.
"Imagine if all her followers did this (instead of just listening to her to buy something they DONT need)".

Consumed nutrient dense foods for performance & recovery..

Focused on small, improvements NOT quick fixes.

. ....I am 100% sure if you focused on training your breathing patterns, pelvic tilt, they would not only look better BUT feel better.
Stop wasting their $ on this “waist” trimmer..
Furthermore with breathing, waist trainers can cause more pain by incorrect breathing patterns.

Imagine growing up as a kid and seeing this - all you would see would be the opposite of what fitness should be about & that’s health, fitness & training not gimmicks! .
😡 It’s sad - to see someone with a huge following literally push this - especially when you try so hard to tell your patients the truth..

Progressive means - start slow. 😋
It‘s good to do a couple of reps and rounds that feel like they‘re too easy, wait for the muscle ache afterwards and continue where you left off, rather than jumping in too quickly.

Week seven session two. Tonight's compounds were 5 x 3 at 110kg for benchpress with three second pause, 10 x 120kg/140kg for cardio squats and 10 x 140kg/160kg for cardio sumo deadlifts. Video is the 160kg sumo deadlifts. Had no flats and was slipping.
