The Special Rescue Operations Advanced Incident Support Team (SRO-AIST) would like to thank J.R. Boyd, Captain (Canadian Navy) and Commander -Joint Pacific Command, as well as the Canadian Forces Urban Search and Rescue Base for use of their outstanding facility in Esquimalt B.C, Canada. •
SRO-AIST had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive structural collapse USAR training program this weekend on the CFB Esquimalt Base. This rare training opportunity is integral to the team’s growth and an opportunity that the team is much obliged for. •
SRO-AIST also had the opportunity to collaborate with the Canadian Search and Disaster Dog Association (CASDDA) in the weekends exclusive training. CASDDA trains and deploys dogs and their volunteer handlers to respond to disasters all over the world. When SRO-AIST is deployed in the event of a world disaster, we will often be working in a cohesive relationship with the CASDDA team. The training we endured together this weekend is paramount in preparation for our possible joint deployment as two teams uniting together to help others in a disaster setting. •
We would also like to thank all of our supporters (family, old friends and new friends) for your generous donations to our incredible organization. Your support tremendously helps with our continuous team training to be ready for many situation that are presented to us in any worldly disaster situation.
