I’ve discovered one big and powerful lesson since coaching, mentoring and talking with mama’s in the last two years.... What I learned is this:
At some point in our motherhood, every single one of us experience doubt, judgement, criticism, shame, unworthiness, and fear. None of us are exempt.
We all doubt our abilities as mums and as women. And have been doubted by others.
We all judge ourselves and have been judged others.
We all criticise our imperfections and more often than not, we hold each other to those same standards. We’ve all been criticised, often by those closest to us.
We all feel shame. We all feel unworthy. We all feel not good enough. We all feel unloveable.
We all feel these things at some point in our life but they all look different on the outside. But on the inside? It’s all the same. Painful. Uncomfortable. Difficult.
Every single one of us struggle. We all feel the same feelings. But we seem to have forgotten how incredibly healing it can be when we put everything aside and come together to support each other in the struggle. Something so beautiful happens. Our hearts open and we realise that we’re all in this together.
We’re all fighting the same battle. It just looks a little different on the outside.
So to the mama who feels judged, to the mama who feels unloveable, to the mama who feels unworthy, to the mama who feels criticised and hated, to the mama who feels disappointed, to the mama who feels burdened, to the mama who feels overwhelmed, to the mama who feels less than, to the mama who feels insignificant, to the mama who feels exhausted, to the mama who feels ashamed, to the mama who feels imperfect.... YOU ARE ALL SO UNIQUELY AND WONDERFULLY MADE JUST AS YOU ARE. No judgements, no criticisms, no conditions of love or worthiness. JUST AS YOU ARE.
I see you. I see your pain. I see it because I feel it too. And you are so NOT alone - we’re all in this together 💕
