Team work makes the dream work! As cliche as this saying may be, it’s truth holds it potency. Being held accountable by others heightens your level of awareness, you’re not only answering to yourself.
Having a group of like minded individuals around, who push you to step outside of your comfort zone is essential for success in any area of life but this certainly holds true as far as physical fitness is concerned. Find an individual or a group who share a common goal, therefore everyone feels invested and even obligated to get things done. Push each other to perform at a higher level than accustom. In order to achieve a result you’ve never had before you have to break your ordinary routine and do something different. If you’re looking to make substantial progress and you’re feeling “comfortable”, you’re not working hard enough! ➖
Now hear me out! I don’t mean to make this sound like a concentration camp where you’re punished for not working yourself a few breaths short of death but lets put it into perspective in terms more relatable to you.
If you wish to reach the ultimate position possible in your career you will not achieve it by doing just enough to get by. You need to consistently look for ways to improve your skill set and develop the mental fortitude needed to overcome the challenges presented. On the same note, having the best team or leaders simply won’t matter if you do not WANT it for yourself. ➖
“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” – Henry Ford
How can we apply the mentioned principles?
1.Identify a suitable ‘accountability partner’.
2.Agree on the following
- Show up on time to workout sessions.
- Avoid creating “excuses” for missing sessions.
- Check-in with your partner to ensure they will be in attendance.
- Set the example for your partner.
-To push your partner further than they think they can go.
-Not to make excuses for your partner.
-Not to let your partner get out of a workout easily. Reject excuses that are not an actual emergency or not a commitment that can’t be rescheduled.
3.Every session you will answer for your partner if they are not present.
