🎢 IT’S A JOURNEY 🎡⁣

Every time that I commit to achieving a new goal, whether it’s a fitness goal or a business goal, I always start to get impatient when it takes more than A DAY to see the results.. Can anyone else relate?! 🙋🏽‍♀️⁣

I’m the type of person that will finish an ab workout and look in the mirror to see if I can see more definition 🤪⁣

CLEARLY that’s not how it works, but I think doing things like this or having those thoughts is more common than not. ⁣

Whatever your journey is, you have to remember that it’s going to take time and consistency. ⏰ I totally understand that when we have been consistent for a week and we only lose a pound that it can be frustrating. You think to yourself, “what did I do wrong?”, “This doesn’t work!”, “I guess I’m not going to lose the weight after all...” 🙇🏽‍♀️ The truth is that it didn’t take you a week to gain all of the weight that you are trying to lose, so unfortunately it’s going to take patience. ⁣

It took me about 4-5 months to lose my 20lbs.. Some people may think that was too slow, some may think it’s fast. Regardless, it was MY journey. 💚 I’m happy with my journey because it taught me how to maintain my results as well, I am still weigh the same today and it’s been 4 and a half years since I began my journey. ⁣

Did I get frustrated at times? OF COURSE I DID! But I can tell you that I do not look back and think about those moments. I go back and think about how grateful I am to have found something that I love and that has helped me every single day since!⁣

Remember to enjoy and embrace all seasons of your journey, because you will look back and be so grateful for every single part of it. 🙏🏽⁣

Mushroom Risotto 🍚
Makes 3
P8 C55 F3
Fry 100g onions with 2 garlic cloves in a tbsp of butter
Add 200g arborio risotto rice and let this cook until the rice starts to go translucent
Add 100g of your favourite mushrooms
Then add a vegetable stock cube and let the rice absorb this, stirring occasionally
Grate 20g Parmesan in towards the end
(You could also add spinach just before it’s cooked but I didn’t have any in 😫)
I treat this as a side dish, and eat it with a portion of chicken or fish. You could also add the protein source into the pan whilst you’re cooking 👩🏻‍🍳

It’s my birthday tomorrow!!!!🥳🎉 going to London with my mum to celebrate Monday - Wednesday, soooooo excited!!🥰 .
Been a very emotional few days for me, I’m very lucky to have my friends around me who make me feel like I deserve the world xxx

Big celebrations now always have that underlying sadness for me because I can’t celebrate with my two angels💔 and it absolutely breaks my heart. It’s my first birthday without the both of them so kind of bitter sweet for me💓

Had a reaaaaally random gym session today - started with hamstrings then my leg was sore so I decided so stop and then did a completely random upper body mix which I never really do🤷🏼‍♀️ went on the bike at the end for 15 just to keep my leg moving! .

I had an absolutely amazing time celebrating one of my best friends mums 60th birthday this afternoon. It was my first big social outing since the accident and it was so nice to relax and enjoy great food and company! So nice to act and feel normal, after a really low week it’s just what I needed to pick me up!

Laughter really is the best medicine and I have some of the greatest friends a girl could ask for ❤️

I’ve never been one to believe that you have to wait for a new week to change your habits, but as it’s Sunday, I guess next week I’m going to put a rocket up my bum🙈

I’ve really been struggling with my anxiety lately and if you’ve ever struggled you’ll know just how horrible it can be. It’s a feeling that’s hard to explain. I know there’s so many factors contributing to it all, trying to find a career, living back in Maidstone and I feel like I’m back in quite a negative place with how I look, among many other things. I’ve always struggled to be open with my emotions, for years I saw it as a sign of weakness and wouldn’t cry in front of anyone. But, I’m working on it all.

Everything’s a process and we all go through good and bad days, but I’m really trying to accept the bad with the good. I want to use this time that I have at the moment between jobs to figure out what I want and how I can work to make myself feel better in all aspects of my life. I feel like we’re always lost in different situations, plugging our time into work and lose ourselves in the process. I feel like I need a breather to actually better myself and my mental and physical health.

It’s always hard to talk about things like this. It’s way easier to gloss over and pretend life is great- but that’s never really the case for anyone I think.
.

Tomorrow I’m going to hit up the @gymshark blackout sale #gymsharkblackout and buy myself some more sets. I feel really uncomfortable wearing a crop top in public, but every time I push myself out of that comfort zone I feel empowered. This week I’m going to start small, and slowly work on my training and my diet to boost my confidence again. I’m going to wear a crop top and constantly remind myself that belly rolls have absolutely no relation to who you are as a person. If you can I really want you guys to do the same- if you’ve never worn a crop top or just your sports bra in the gym do it this week. To some people this may not seem like a big deal, but to me this is something I’ve never been able to do.

-25g oats⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

-tsp baking powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-1/2 banana⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This afternoon/evening took a weird turn and I ended myself up in a car park about an hour away from my house in an absolute state (surprise?) 🤦🏻‍♀️🙃 .

And my head was making me feel like my only option was to do something stupid.. but ya gal wiped her tears, and got to the gym 💁🏻‍♀️ it took everything in me.. but I’m starting to find some healthier coping mechanisms to help deal with the extreme emotions I’m feeling 💫💫💫 .
.
With BPD, you can’t really stop the intensity of the emotions you’re feeling, but you can help how you cope with them.. and I find completely exhausting myself at the gym, works wonders 💁🏻‍♀️

I thought I had to compete.
I thought I had to do ‘booty workouts’.
I thought there was only one ‘right’ way to do things. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👆🏼thought that posting about these things would be what made me ‘successful’ in the fitness industry. I was doing online fitness coaching and I thought it would help me get more clients & sponsors. And because everybody else was doing it, I thought it would be what makes me happy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I tried to be like everybody else to stand out and to find my own personal happiness.🤨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀

To ‘stand out’ & build a brand that makes a true impact on people’s lives, you need to be DIFFERENT. You need to be YOURSELF. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Provide content and products/services that create a solution to a particular problem for a particular group of people.

I LOVE this Life! 💪🏼
Currently I am working on my symmetry of aesthetics while adding size and keeping my condition tight.

With all of the holidays coming up and just having my birthday I tend to relax and enjoy myself a lil more! Lol that is totally fine as long as it is in moderation and you stay consistent with your training.

Carb cycling helps more around this time for size and strength too. Usually my carb cycle will consist of 2 days high and 1 day low. That keeps me full and lean just enough to keep the waits tight and maintain a solid energy level while being lean and training hard. But right now, my carb cycle looks like 3 days high and 2 days low. The 3 days high allow me to maximize the addition of size and strength to train hard and heavy then the 2 days low allow me just enough time to stay at a steady lean condition to prep my body to utilize the carbs moving forward!

Remember this is a lifestyle! Enjoy the process.

The top 5 things I wish people did to me when I was struggling with an eating disorder⁣

Suffering from an ED is hard, but being close to someone who is suffering is possibly even harder. Seeing a loved one killing themselves slowly and not knowing how to approach them is devastating😭⁣

I’ve been both the sufferer and the loved one, and I wouldn’t wish either of them on anyone🥺 ⁣

As the sufferer, it’s hard to say what you want from your friends and family, and as a friend or family member it’s so hard to ask. So in this post I’ll list some of the main things I wish people would do and say to me when I was sick... ⁣

1. Give me a hug🤗 People got scared to touch me, and that hurt so much! ⁣

2. Not ignore me😶 Some people didn’t know what to say, so they stopped talking to me. That hurt more than anything ⁣

3. Talk about normal things🙈 I always wished people would tell me about THEIR lives. Mine wasn’t that interesting, but I still cared about how their love life or job was going. ⁣

4. Tell me that they care and would listen if I wanted to talk💖 Not pressuring me, but letting me know they were there ⁣

5. Letting me know they were concerned🥰 It’s ok to tell the person struggling that you are concerned. ⁣

🍕 Sunday pizza night 🍕 @magionipizza kindly sent me some to sample, unfortunately two out of the three pizzas aren’t vegan so I’ve donated them! ✨ But the cauliflower pizza based and vegan falafel pizza are vegan 🌱Tonight I used one cauliflower pizza base and put my own toppings to eat! I topped with courgettes, peppers, red onion, mushroom and peri peri soy mince ✨ Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and is ready for a whole host of offers from @myproteinuk for Black Friday this coming week! 💙✨

Feeling lonely is such a strong feeling
It can be deadly if you try to fight it.
I used to be terrified.
I was a mess 10 yet old girl scared to be lonely because I thought I was weird. I hated myself when I was only 10 years old. I already felt trapped.
2 years ago the feelings came back harder than ever and I was an emotional wreck.
Referred to CAMHS.
Went down a dark road of depression.
Last year it hit me again.
I was lost.
I ended up in hospital.
I had no idea what was happening to me anymore.
I was no longer in control. .
.
I just want to say that I’ve slowly accepted who I am and I’m happy with who I am.
It was scary and I didn’t know if I could make it but I believe I have.
Not everyday perfect but I have more good days than bad days.
I’m no longer afraid to show my face.
You can do this to.
If you feel like this I want you to know that it’s okay. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel and you will reach it soon✨
