In letzter Zeit, wenn ich hin und wieder mit meinem Fahrrad unterwegs bin, erlebe ich ein wahres Fest der Düfte. Ich recke schon immer meine Nase ein wenig höher in die Luft um die verschiedenen Düfte besser inhalieren zu können... Kennt ihr das auch? 😌🌸🍃 Auf meiner abendlichen Fahrt, rieche ich den blühenden Flieder, der wahre Duftexplosionen verströmt, ein Stückchen weiter heizt jemand Abends noch sein Haus mit Kaminfeuer und es liegt dieser Holzige Geruch in der Luft. Auch der Weißdorn beginnt schon zu blühen und verströmt seine herrliche Duftnote und ansonsten genieße ich den frischen Duft der erwachenden Natur, der frischen Blätter an den Bäumen, den Geruch des frisch sprießenden Grases und der aufblühenden Sträucher. Es ist so köstlich, ein wundervolles Geschenk von unserem kreativen Schöpfer an uns 🙏🍃🌸🌱🌼🌳🌷🌿

Bridge with bands or none and sandbag or bag or anything to hold tight between your hands

I apologise in advance for my bad form on the bridge. My foot still hurts some and this was the only way to do it without pain 😕

Bring a band @letsbands around your thighs. Grab a bag @ultimatesandbag between your hands and hold stretched above your chest. Hold your feet hip width apart and your feet as close as possible to your butt. Bring your butt up to a bridge pose. Also bring your chest up as you still hold your bag above your chest. Keeping bridge form bring the bag across to your right knee, back to the left side, and back to starting position. Repeat on other side and keep your bridge in form!

The best thing I could have done for myself almost 2 years ago was to say yes to a health & fitness group.

One of my favourite words is surrender. It's beautiful. This idea and notion of completely letting go of, getting out of my own way. Leading with my heart & soul, instead of my head.

I find when i let go and surrender, the most wonderful things, beyond my mind's comprehension, unfold, blossom and take place. I am truly happy.
.
So it makes sense that when i become a bit of a control freak, i often end up feeling disappointed, frustrated and stressed.
.
So how do you let go of this need to feel in control?
.
Acceptance of what is, trust that the Universe is incredibly intelligent and is doing exactly what is needed in order for your higher conscious growth, even if it doesn't feel good or make sense.
.
Focus and be grateful for everything that is going well, create space for the unknown to unfold, remind yourself that you can't predict the future ( unless you're incredibly psychic ) so stop trying to figure it all out. Trust that it will all work out, it always does in the end.
.
And most importantly... keep focusing on what makes you happy, follow your heart, be fearless, speak your mind, be authentically you, be present, be love. ❤️

“The fire alarm goes off and jolts you awake. Your stress hormones instantly dial up to high alert. Your life depends on making quick decisions. You grab the kids and run out of the house, escaping the fire. You take a deep breath, thinking, “Thank God we’re all safe.” Gradually, the stress hormones dial back down. The next day you call your insurance agent and arrange for repairs, constantly thinking how fortunate you all are to have survived unharmed. This is a normal, healthy stress response.

But suppose your stress dial stays on high. After escaping the fire, you continue in panic mode: 'If only I had...' 'Will it happen again?' 'Why me?' These 'what ifs' drag on for weeks. When stress hormones stay too high for too long, they damage the brain in a process that has the scary name of glucocorticoid neurotoxicity. Feeling 'frazzled' may be the result of early glucocorticoid neurotoxicity. Current stress-busting (aka anti #bridezilla ) lineup. Brace yourself because I’m going to get carried away in the descriptions 🤓:
. • @foursigmatic mushroom hot cacao. Sounds weird, I know, but it is tasty and features reishi: a mushroom that has been shown to help with occasional stress and to support sleep. I tried using it before bed but actually prefer to put it in my coffee in the morning instead 🍫👌 . .
@sunpotion ashwagandha one of the most studied adrenal adaptogens: plant compounds that help your adrenal glands deal with stress. Studies also show it can support your immune system and helps aid in hormone balance. I like adding this to smoothies. 🤓
. • @thorneresearch theanine: an amino acid found in green tea that helps maintain a sense of calm focus and enhances neurotransmitters involved in stress management. This amino acid is one of the reasons why you don’t feel jittery from the caffeine in green tea🙏
. • @thrivemkt cacao for its mood boosting effects. It’s no coincidence why we love (and can get addicted to) chocolate: cacao can increase the production of feel-good neurotransmitters (thanks to theobromine) and literally boost your mood. This form is also great for antioxidants and magnesium 👍
. • green tea: for antioxidants, a natural source of L-theanine and a way to curb my coffee intake 🙃

•(not pictured) magnesium! Magnesium is essentially nature’s anti stress/muscle relaxant, involved in WAY too many important processes to get into right now and is a super common deficiency. You can find it in powdered drink form, supplement capsules or get it from soaking in an epsom salt bath. 😴

I’ve also got to mention that all of these things only make a difference when the other key areas of stress management are dialed in: quality food, mindfulness practice (yoga/meditation/etc), enough sleep, smart exercise and hydration. Start there and then add in some extras as needed.

I listened to Gwyneth Paltrow’s first podcast a few months back and her first guest was Oprah Winfrey. Oprah told a story about a boy who was terminally ill and had a few days to live. Before he passed he looked at his mother and said “Oh Mom, it is all so simple. Life... it was so simple.” That little boys last few sentences keep replaying in my head here in Brazil. These pictures are of a small farm we took back dirt roads to get too. They welcomed us into their home, showed us all the animals and plants they grow and the small church they made on their property. The wife showed me the coffee beans that they harvested and the tool she uses to roast them over a fire. She let Penelope run freely around her home ( while I scrambled to contain her). She showed me a paprika tree and a large container of hand ground paprika and gave me a large bag to take home...... This trip has been just that “simple” in the best way possible. We can become so consumed with things and wanting and having, that sometimes at the end of the day, simple isn’t so bad after all. 💚 #thesimplelife #stressless #livemore #havefaith
