Today was the first time I’ve heard thunder this year, as storms passed through Denver! So while I’m laying here listening to the rain, I got thinking about early season hikes just around the corner—and a few memories from just such an early season hike up St. Mary’s Glacier to James Peak a few years back.
James Peak, 13294 ft; and unranked Kingston Peak, 12147 ft. My 6th 13er. Climbed June 18, 2016.
8.4 miles, 3100 ft elevation gain, 6h33m via St Mary’s Glacier.
