A cold but beautiful morning to be on the water!
I launched at first light this morning in search of my striped friends and was not disappointed. I trolled one jig/paddletail deep and one shallow all morning. I tracked about 7 miles of river before I got to hear the sweet song of this 23-1/2" rockfish taking drag. Oh how I've missed that sound! He hit a 1oz silver bucktail jig paired with a 5" Z-man pearl paddletail. This was the lone wolf for the morning but I'll take it for mid February in the river! This guy was released immediately after his photo shoot. Sadly my GoPro battery died a few minutes before hooking up to this guy so no video
