At this time of year, a lot of people are publicly reflecting on all they've achieved over the past 12 months. Some things are more grandiose than others and while we should definitely revel in our accomplishments, for some, it can leave you wondering, "well shit, what have I achieved then?" When everyone around you seems to be smashing major goals, I think it's important to remember that social media is just a snapshot of people's lives. Some people may have had the best year of their lives and some others may be proud to have gotten to the end of the year in one piece. Both are great, both are worth celebrating. Remember, comparison is the thief of joy!
For me, my biggest accomplishment was continuing to live my life with enthusiasm and excitement after missing out on something I desperately wanted and remaining optimistic at a time when I could have easily given up.
Not a big deal to some, maybe? But I know myself and I know this is something to be proud of.
Tell me, what's one thing you're proud of this year, no matter how big or small?
