So... me and a friend of mine just opened a blog on Tumblr, called "Calls from nowhere" (calls-from-nowhere.tumblr.com). It's a storytelling project.
Basically, the idea is an archive with transcriptions of phone calls that come from... nowhere. Mysterious, strange and sometimes disturbing phone calls of which nothing is known, if not a few surreal pieces left, some records.
If you want to follow our project, it would be great. I hope you are interested in this.
Here's the first story, a sort of presentation, so you can better understand what we are talking about:
START OF RECORD -[Heavy breathing] -Hello? Hello? Who is there? -[Gibberish, followed by a coughing fit] -Who, again? -[Another coughing fit, voices are heard in the background] -Well, in the end it doesn’t matter, doesn’t it? -[A single, deep grunt] -You agree, it seems. Anyway, I’ll proceed as I was told to do. You’ll get the archive. -[A low gasp, followed by high pitched laughter] -Yes, you’ll get it all. All those phonecalls, in the dead of the night. All those voices, flittering in the ether. All those years, spent chasing conversations that never were. It’s yours. It was time to pass it on, or so they said. Now it’s yours. -[gibberish, more laughter can be heard in the background] -Take care.
