Thursday’s aka Deadlift Day has become my new favorite day of the week. I’ve been trying to go heavy on Deads for a while now, but my form started slipping and not feeling right even on the lighter weights.

Started a new lifting program this week now that cutting season is over. Lifted 5x7 @ 250 trying to make the last set look just as good, if not better, than the 1st. Felt fantastic and form was smooth. Then hit some hip thrusts for sets of 10 tryna make that 🍑 grow 😂.
Finished off the lift with some hamstring work, calves and abs 😭.

Now that cutting season is officially in the past it’s time to get huge and hit some new PRs!! To be honest, I’ll probably bulk for like 1.5 years and won’t cut until summer 2020...

From yesterday's workout, I did 8 sets of decline. 135x10(raw), 225x8(raw), 275x5(raw), 315x4(wrist wraps), 315x7(wraps&slingshot), 315x2(wraps), 315x5(wraps&slingshot), 315x4(wraps&slingshot). Felt great and was so hyped to get under the bar and rep out 3 plates🙏 I only used the reactive @mbslingshot with about 5% assistance. In a few weeks I will be reppin 315 raw for some low reps on flat & 6-12 reps on decline, I promise you✊

We are back!!

Took a much needed break from social media, lifting and macro tracking for the week of the 4th.

We had a mini vacation at our summer house in New Hampshire where we have little to no cell service and it was great to just take a step back, enjoy life and spend time with our family.

Now we are back at it and we started our week off with squats on squats on squats.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To be honest it SUCKED. Form felt off, weight moved slow and overall we were more tired than expected. But we still got after it and crushed some legs.

It feels great to be back and the gains are about to come full speed now that cutting season is officially over.

07/08/2018. I don’t post much but...Today was the day. Thankful for those who pushed me to strive and continue climbing @samurai___jacked, @millythst , @toenaynayy and @annalm95. Weighing at 145 lbs hitting 345 squat, 250 bench and 405 deadlift totaling up to the #1000sclub. Glad to have @samurai___jacked as my twin and rival to always keep me grounded and always wanting to get better. “I regret doing that workout”

Today was a day we had absolutely NO motivation to workout. We were tired, our bodies hurt and we could have easily just said screw it... but guess what, we didn’t!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We sucked it up, chugged some preworkout and got after it today. Even if it wasn’t our best workout, it was still better than not working out at all.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since we will be gone for the next few days we did a total body workout. Crushed some bench, deads and arms.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At the end of the day, motivation will waver day to day, week to week, workout to workout. You can’t count on motivation to get you through the hard days when you don’t want to do anything. On those days you must rely on DISCIPLINE.

Discipline is what separates progress and wasted time. Discipline allows you to work hard on the days you can’t wait to go to the gym and even harder on the days you don’t want to.

Mentally the hardest workout I have done since Murph. .
🌱 I got to sleep at 5AM

🌱 I was feeling “off” from being out of town the last couple days, off my normal eating schedule, and eating more treats than usual

🌱 I tried a new pair of workout shoes that felt like heavy clodhoppers and hurt my feet
.
🌱 This workout is FIVE rounds instead of the three that is typical of CrossFit workouts
.
🌱 It was about 95° outside

But I got through it and challenged myself, and that’s winning.
