Beginning of April 2018, my first chocolate-event in Japan took place. First and main topic was the presentation of my thesis "The bean-to-bar movement in Japan" in English and thanks to Komaba Risa in Japanese as well!
Thanks to all japanese bean-to-bar producers, who joined and/or supported the event!! And thanks to all chocolate lovers and people in chocolate and pastry business, who came to Oomori on a Sunday! Last but not least thanks to @chanrie7 and @ue_mon for using your photos here.
When Morinaga High Crown Chocolate came out in 1964, it was surprising that the price of 70 yen was high with four pieces. It is reprinted to be more upscale this time, 2000 yen in 8 pieces and the price is even more expensive!
After all I wish I like rich milk! It seems that you can buy it only at Yokohama Sogo and Kobe Daimaru.
