2nd-45lb kettlebell goblet box squats 20 reps
3rd-18lb kettlebell lunge to bicep curl 10 each side
4th-26lb kettlebell upright row 15 reps each side

Do this for a total of 4-5 rounds LITTLE rest!!

Happy flashback flex fundraising Friday! Here I am flexing last week in my Pelotonia shirt and my Pelotonia finish line selfie 2 years ago. Pelotonia is a bike ride that raises funds for cancer research at The James Cancer Research Center in Columbus, OH. This is Pelotonia's 10th year and has raised millions over the years. This year, I've committed to riding 55 miles and raising $1,750. The ride is on August 4 and is a life changing experience. This is my 3rd year participating and 2nd year riding. If anyone would like to donate (still a tax deduction after tax reform) to the cause I will post my link in my bio or you can search for me at Pelotonia.org by my rider number HR0027. IT’S FLEX FRIDAY!! This week I’ve been focussing on flexing my nutrition muscles!! I’ve took more control of my food, started to cut out more sugar and processed food, and stuck to my water goals. Sometimes it still amazes me how much progress I’ve made from my noodle arms and that I don’t take the time to realize that I did that.
Weight lifting is hard and takes time to see progress but the results mentally and physically have been so rewarding and I’m so grateful to be able to work hard for myself. One more day till the weekend, happy Thursday loves. 💕💕

Focused. I was really lenient with my nutrition this month because of my birthday. I celebrated a lot more than I should have. A lot of dinners and desserts with friends and family. Then I continued to eat unhealthy. I let one day become 2 and 2 become a week and so on. ENOUGH!! I began to see and feel my body changing....I was gaining the weight that I had lost, losing the definition and toning I had worked so hard for. I’ve decided that I have had enough. NO MORE EXCUSES.
I had to be honest with myself. I was sabotaging my workouts by eating junk food. I know better and have to do and be better. I woke up focused and determined. Yesterday was my first day back in the gym after two weeks and it was a sweaty struggle. #transformationtuesday 👀swipe left 👈 to see my 20 lbs weight loss difference. It might not be a lot to you, but for me has been huge,(keep in mind I’m still on my journey). You see on the first picture I even cropped it🙈because of how huge I looked. I remember that day at a theme park, feeling tired and with no energy! But you see that boy in my lap? Yeap he’s my motivation, he’s one of the reasons why I decided to make a change. Today I want to talk about my mental transformation instead of physical. If you told me a year ago that I would be comfortable enough with my stomach and thighs to go to the gym in crop tops or spandex shorts I would tell you you're crazy. Spandex shorts were literally one of the reasons I refused to play volleyball in high school. I've also always had "rolls" when I sit...so many in fact that a doctor once asked what the lines across my stomach were...they were where my skin folds/rolls when I sat. 🤦🏼‍♀️
Yes this mental change and boost in confidence was sparked by physical change, but it's still progress! (Apologies for the #rbf was trying to snap a quick pic and get out quick this morning)

This weekend has been full of non-scale and scale victories! Start with the scale - dropped 2 pounds on Saturday morning from my normal weight. Big victory here because I've actually been eating more than usual (especially carbs) 🥞🥔 Ok moving to non-scale (more important) victories. I did 9 unassisted chin ups!! I've never been able to do more than 1, super proud of myself. I think the most important victory was in my mind! I wore booty shorts (pictured) to the gym and to a volleyball tournament on Saturday night and felt confident in myself. I never wear short booty shorts outside the house so to lift and play in them without being anxious all day was amazing. Today I went to the gym in a crop top and loved every minute of it! Making gains in all aspects of my health journey!!

*Sorry this will be long but the story is worth it!*
So about a month before this past semester ended I found out I had to take more credits than I had originally thought to be able to graduate early this December and I was bitter at the moment but decided to take a stress management course and today I had that class and it was honestly really nice. There I heard a story from the teacher I would like to share.
A needle was lost inside a house and a lady was searching for the needle but was looking outside in the yard when someone said why are you looking outside when the needle is lost inside the house and the lady said because I can’t see in there but I can see out here.
The point to the story is that although we know what we are looking for is inside we still go to the outside world to find what we need because that’s what we can see and listen to. But everything you’re looking for starts within you and I found this so incredibly important I wanted to share. Although you may think that you don’t have the answers or you can’t do something on your own remember that you can do whatever you set your mind to and you can’t help anyone without helping yourself first: so love yourself, learn about your self, and embrace how amazing you are. What you have inside is what you need to find and share with the world, not let the world determine what you need.

Whaaaaaaaaat?! Transformation Tuesday already! I struggled to find pics to post last week that I thought reflected my progress, but then I had a great leg day last week and decided to find a pic of me in shorts and see the difference. Holy crap!! I've been struggling to get my lower body to cooperate with this whole weightlifting thing, but this is the difference from march to now, about 3 months!! 3 miles ✅ so I have decided to give my body a little rest from my intense workouts! UNTIL I hear from my doctor on my upcoming appointment, (Or if I feel better) whichever comes first. The face of a crazy lady, or insane to be more exact. Month 2 of insanity starts today, and it was 60 mins of constant mind and body challenge. People will tell you to stop, they will judge you, they will question why you share, you’ll question this all yourself constantly too. Well, it's Sunday, which is usually my day to workout with hubby but I think I need a complete rest day today so am going to sit out today and refocus my mind and get my body ready for the week. I've been nauseated for 3 days straight now after a collision under the net at volleyball on Thursday and may have strained something yesterday while deadlifting. This picture is blurry but I liked it the more I looked at it because it shows just how life is a blur. As we rush it to move on to bigger and better things I realized I rarely stop to enjoy the moment. Yes I believe we should all be making plans for the future and figuring out what we want to do but we need to realize that isn’t everything. You don’t need to rush growing up and you don’t need to rush your career. Everything happens for a reason and I have had a pretty rough year of unexpected things one after another putting me back every time but I also have amazing people in my life and I’m lucky for all I have and there is no need to complain about what I don’t have because you don’t need everything in this very moment which I feel we all feel we usually do. I’ve been stuck at home for like 3 days now and looking through photos and it makes me want to go back to all the good times and although I can’t do that it reminds me that I can enjoy all the good times to come and stop stressing about my future and what I’m going to do and what I need to do now because what we need to do now is enjoy this beautiful life we have.
Now this is pretty long and that’s all I have to say for now.
Live while your young lovelies and don’t take it for granted. ❤️

I can't think of a better way to start my day than getting a few PRs in an empty gym. I'm super proud of myself for all the progress I'm making on my lifts this week, especially since I'm following a program I wrote for myself. EVERYTHING comes from your CORE! My tummy has taken a bit of a bashing this week with being on holiday and I’m feeling the effects. Physically and mentally it’s taken me a long time to stop ‘hating’ on my soft belly and just learning to love and accept every bit of me. Coming up to month 2 of Insanity I was thinking of what my goal is and this month will be all about my CORE. And I’m not just talking about the physical core, @shaunt talks a lot about digging deep and finding the core of who you are. I’m talking mentally, physically, spiritually, nutritionally, really taking some time to work on every aspect of my core. I’ve got some plans in tow for how I’m going to do that and I’m going to be sharing them along the way incase they might be of help to anyone else!
I can’t wait for what’s in store for my core!! 🙌

Happy Friday!! This week felt so long after the short week last week. Looking forward to a weekend hangin with some friends. It was leg day and I wore my new IAB shorts which showed off the quads quite nicely. The 5" inseam works better for me than the typical booty short (no rolling or bulging) so wasn't self conscious at all during my lifts! Lifted my max squat weight for more reps than before, so overall a good day in the gym. Have a great Friday!

I’m a beachbody coach!!!🙏 I’m really nervous to put so much of myself out here on social media and instagram (angiegets_fit) but I want to share the journey that I’ve been on – and am still taking. 
I think it’s no secret that I’ve always struggled with my weight. I’ve always been that happy, bubbly, good vibes kind of person, but I will notice at times I will hide my insecurities behind smiles and self-deprecating jokes, but each year I watched the scales tip farther and couldn’t seem to stop it. No diet seemed to work. Believe me i tried them all! When the doctor clocked my weight in and I noticed I had reached the weight I was after delivering my son(only this time no baby)🙈😞 I knew something had to change.

I’m on a weight loss journey. I’m more than 21 pounds down so far! And though I’m not at the finish line yet, not even close! I’ve discovered that I’m loving my journey, the process of it all; and want to share it with you all as well, with the hopes of inspiring at least one person & let them know it’s possible!! At any time in their life, at any age, at any beginning. (We all have one) ☺️💕 I joined Beachbody in April through my amazing coach/mentor @livingfitwithleticia (but known about it for about 2 years). I have learned to eat healthy, (not only salads & shakes, but REAL yummy food), live a balanced life, but still see results!

You hear it all the time but I never had the confidence or really got it till later in my fitness journey but TAKE PICTURES, you may not feel Ike you’ve reached your goals yet but so many days I think I haven’t made as much process as I would have liked by this point and I look back and can see those differences, they may not always be the biggest but they are there and YOU are achieving that!! Love yourself and your progress no matter how small or big and taking pictures can remind you of that.
