In the period of about a month, I’ve been fortunate to visit Tampa, Florida twice. And I’ve learned that it may be one of my favourite places. The first time, I didn’t know what to expect, but I found it to be surprisingly familiar. Buildings reminded me of Los Angeles, downtown. A few streets away, the little cafes and restaurants reminded me of old town Pasadena and other strange little oddities from downtown LA. The street signs were familiar, as was the weather, as were the people. It was somewhat comforting, a familiarity in a place that I had never been before.
The first night I was there was the 21st of September, and perhaps one of the greatest nights of my life. I’ve never really been treated as a VIP before, but I saved up the money and paid for a VIP package for the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience. Every moment was well worth it, and I still relive that show every night in my dreams.
The second time was only last night, the 18th of October. With my Disney program, I was given a chance to see the Tampa Bay Lightning in action. I definitely saw some moves I’d like to copy on the ice, I also saw more than one missed opportunity (but that’s none of my business). But all in all it was great to see Tampa again and I definitely had fun; it’s been a long time since I’ve had a chance to go to a hockey game. If you guys didn’t know, it’s my very favourite sport. Ever. And the home team won, so that’s always good!
