Im a few weeks too late about this but #ToysRUs closing its final stores definitely hit me. I remember when #KayBeeToys closed down, i was sad but not too much, knowing that Toys R Us was still there. I had plenty of good memories, just seeing the end surplus of #toys. Got my #firstBike ♂️ there... and second #bike too (i really struggled trying to learn haha). I remember going there to get my #PokemonCards. I got plenty of #videogames there too, mainly w/#SuperNintendo, #GameBoy, #GameGear, #SegaGenesis & #PlayStation. The two in the picture i posted are the ones i went to most frequently, the #LosFeliz location (above) & the #VanNuys location (below) of whom i passed by today. One of my biggest memories was as a kid, amongst a large group of kids with family and family friends (my parents weren't present), everybody getting a toy and i was just happy to be there. I was then surprised the elders said i could pick one too, so i chose a #SNES game called #RevolutionX , a #shootemup heavily featuring the #rockband #Aerosmith. I loved that game, was obsessed with it at one point, beat the whole game too . Id still go to a Toys R Us from time to time as i grew up, mainly to look for #actionfigures or toys related to #movies/#TVShows i liked. Id still wish i went to em more often just for fun (just like I'd do for comic book stores or sports/memorabilia stores). Much like #Blockbuster, i didn't think I'd see the day that those stores would become obsolete. I'd still look at toys at #WalMart & #Target and would buy something from #timetotime, but it still isn't the same. Oh the memories. I miss ya Toys R Us!
