Introducing .... me - thought it was about time. I'm Mum to "the gorgeous 4", living the dream in Albany, WA. Creating Waxiwraps has been an adventure akin to mothering at times. My own dear Mum at 82 put her hand to the wheel (well, the iron to be exact) for the first year of Waxiwraps, ironing hundreds of metres of fabric as we danced about the workshop doing the production boogie, surprised pleasantly by the demand for our product. Our solution to the problem of single use plastic waste has kept me awake for 18 months and it's a journey I wouldn't change for a minute. Being self-employed gives me time to connect with friends, family, loved ones and business peers at a schedule which, although crazily crafted at times, is at least run on my own time schedule.
I thrive on an early morning swim followed by a coffee and chat at my beach local cafe, a habit now ingrained into my day. I then head to my workshop (not far away, 10 steps into the back yard!) for a day of making, each Waxiwrap handcrafted with the tender caring hands of Jason, Georgia, and myself. Each team member does their task with passion and care as we value consistency and quality above all else in every single Waxiwrap we make.
I'll introduce the team in the days to come!
We currently have a Mothers Day celebration sale - use the coupon code MD10 in our online store to receive 10% off our entire range, until May 8.
