Day 6 of #NaNoWriMo
I hope you are all doing well. Are you on schedule with your novel? It's not too late to start we are only on day 6. One could easily catch up in a weekend at this point but the window is slowly closing if you write at the pace like I do: maybe 600 words/half hour. .
My initial word count lead has now dwindled to just bearly on schedule. I tend to write in the evening after dinner because I have a day job that takes all my concentration. I am using Dabble Writer this year as well so I'd rather work inside Dabble because it updates my word count on the Nanowrimo site live. (So nice!)
My motivations tend to be internal. Wanting to create. To get the story told, or the poem, or the drawing, painting. My joy comes from the creation process. Sometimes I am so content with just the making progress I am still totally happy to walk away from things unfinished because I received my joy from them already. This is a problem sometimes as it means I have way more unfinished or abandoned creations than I have finished ones. It also means that I procrastinate with other creative endeavors so it never feels like I'm waisting my time. .
Now I am off to squeeze the rest of my day 6 word count out of my brain. Hoping to knock it all out two hours so I can get some sleep tonight. .
