I really like this song, but unfortunately it’s another one I can’t agree with. I really don’t like how she uses the word, ‘Lord’ before she sings about her boyfriend being her drug. I don’t think that term should be used in that context. Instead of singing that word, I just sing ‘oh’ in tune with ‘Lord’ because I would prefer not to sing it and it’s taken a lot of fails to sing that but I’ve got it now. Secondly, I don’t like how she uses drugs as a metaphor for her boyfriend. Example: “Lord save me my drug is my baby, I’ll be using for the rest of my life.” I get that she’s happy in love and I’m really glad that she has finally found somebody but that doesn’t send a good message to her younger fans. Maybe I’m taking it too seriously, but I have to in order to see what’s right and what’s wrong. Don’t get me wrong, this song is great with its sound and that one high note that is amazing but again with the lyrics. As a Christian, I can’t agree with it.
