Love him or Hate him, it's our industry's biggest homework, to find the next Tiger.
Tiger's presence on the leaderboard of #TheOpen at #Carnoustie all but assures one of the highest TV ratings of this golf season. While there are golf purists like Brendel Chamblees of the World probably couldn't stand why the TV networks provides a wall-to-wall coverage of Tiger whenever he tees off, fact of the matter is, I will be glued to the TV, no matter what time zone he is in, to see if Tiger will succeed or fail.
He is not just a golfer, he is a #MJ, he is an #Ali, he is our sport's #LeBron. He is more than just a golfer and instead of debating if Jordan Spieth, Brooks Koepka, or Dustin Johnson is the next Tiger, those in our industry should worry and hope that someone can step up to the plate that Tiger will be leaving behind in less than a handful of years.
I will be a fan today and hope Tiger can stand again as a major champion, which will impact the golf's popularity, prolong his impact in our sport, and hope today will be another start of the "18 majors" dialogue once again.
