4 days and over 1200 miles later we’ve kiteboarded up and down the southern Oregon coast and all the way back up through Hood River. We’ve been traveling by following the wind forecasts. .
We’ve crashed with friends, did a bit of boondocking, paid for one night of camping to be right next to the morning windy spot, drove hours into 30mph winds and still managed to average 27mpg.
And just like that, after 24 hours of rest, the van is packed again and Jacqui’s taking off on a backpacking trip with her girlfriends.
I’ll tell you, I certainly wouldn’t want our Westy to be our only home again (because that was painful), but if you’re going to use these machines for the mini adventures they were really intended for, there’s just nothing better. #followthewind
