My goal for the year, as a teacher, is to improve relationships with students and their families. Studies show that families have a much greater impact on their teenager than we do as teachers. So, what’s my plan? How do I plan to achieve this goal?
Get students to eat with their families. That’s it.
Each week I’m sending home a #onepot recipe for students to make for or with their families. Hopefully, by making dinner FOR Mom, or cooking WITH Grandma, or sitting down at the table and eating WITH siblings, relationships within the family are strengthened.
Week 1’s meal was One Pot Manly Cheesy Chicken Penne. Definitely not keto and way high in calories. I subbed the Manwich for homemade sloppy joes and subbed spaghetti squash for penne.
Not gonna lie, it was better than I anticipated. KetoMan actually had three or four helpings. I thought the “Manwich” sounded like it would be gross but the bites with the green pepper were my favorite! I ended up using TWO pans because of my sloppy joes but it was totally worth it. YUM.
