Don’t let the excuse of having no instruments in your elementary music classroom keep you from teaching music.
When I started out, I had one broken hand drum to use. Talk about feeling discouraged. Instead of allowing myself to feel like a deflated balloon, I decided to still teach music.
You see, even if you don’t have very many instruments to use with your students, every child has a body and a voice. So that means, every child can do movement, body percussion, speak, and sing.
Do you have a lot of instruments in your classroom or are you slowly building your program up like I did?
