TEA OF THE WEEK!
This week, our tea of the week is the Chrysanthemum Ceylon Green Tea from the Basilur Enchanting Tea Collection. Designed to charm the senses, be enchanted by the taste and quality as your cup of tea bursts with fresh fruit flavours. Made of 100% Pure Ceylon green leaf tea, natural papaya, chrysanthemum buds, cornflower and amaranth with almond and jasmine flavour, this tea is sure to be a delight. The delicate floral and fruity notes compliment the green tea, perfect for a spring afternoon.
In 1824, the British brought tea plant seeds to Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) from China and initially planted them with no commercial plantation interests. It wasn't until 1867 that tea cultivation truly began in Ceylon, with a fully equipped tea factory operational by 1872. Initially, plantations were focused on producing black tea, but green tea soon grew in popularity too.
Green tea is best brewed at 80-90ºC. This tea available in 100g loose leaf tea in a tin caddy for $24.95#tealovers #ilovetea #teahouse #teapotmuseum #bluemountains #timefortea #leura #bygonebeautys #visitnsw #visitbluemountains #teaoftheweek #chrysanthemum #greentea #basilur
