For myself and many others quads are your more dominant leg muscle while your hamstrings take the back seat.

Why is this? Well I know for myself it was due to the fact of when I first started and for a lot of the time I've been lifting I've neglected hamstring work and focused on the showy leg muscle the quads.

So now I'm trying to play catch up and trying to build a set of hamstrings. I've been doing hamstring movements at the start of my workouts when I'm fresh and can put most stress and overload on them.

Now it's just time to repeat until they grow 💪

I still remember doing my first ever deadlift. It was before I started powerlifting, it was hard, painful, I have no doubt my technique was laughable and I worked up to 110kg for a single. Yesterday I did 4 sets of 8 at 150kg. My first warm up set was 100kg. Now that’s my favourite kind of progress 💪🏻

Re-establishing my love for this sport. Being sick over the last week (like rly rly sick 🙄) has helped me have an appreciation for just how demanding weightlifting is on your mind and body & has weirdly helped me chill the ... out. What's your favourite tricep movement? For me it's rope extensions I just love the way they feel 💪

If you're looking to grow your triceps I would recommend hitting them from different angles such as movements like your triceps dips, close grip bench and overhead movements to get a fuller look in tricep 👌

Ask yourself this on every movement you do. You may look like you have perfect form but if you don’t feel it in the muscle you want to target then is it really perfect form?

First session since nats 💀 I took a week off post comp and then had a fun cold/flu last week. Tonight started with 5x10 @ 120kg and I think I already have DOMS 🤷🏻‍♀️

The internal processes of muscle growth are seriously complicated, people devote their lives to it, but the external processes that kick it off, the things in your control can be distilled down to a few principles: Get stronger in the right rep ranges, eat appropriately, commit to the program and consistently work hard at it.

Post workout meal that I've been having 90% of the time on this little mini cut..... yep the exact same thing I have when I was in a surplus just smaller quantities.

Was a tough one today. Shaun joined in for a leg day which meant I had to teach him the ways..... two sets into squats and he wanted to quit.

The ability to push when you don't feel 100% is going to play a big role in the changes you make.

You can't expect to feel excellent every session but just because you don't feel great doesn't mean you can't push yourself.

I find logging my workouts helps on those days you feel a little under the weather. You will soon become a little stubborn and you won't wanna let your logbook beat you.

Learn to push your boundaries and don't get complacent or you'll start taking steps backwards 💪

It makes me laugh that we still live in an age where women think that lifting heavy weights will make them bulky or “manly”. Then there’s also women who talk about me saying they “don’t want to end up looking like me”. Here’s the reality ‼️I HAVE ALWAYS LOOKED LIKE THIS‼️ My unique frame is something gifted to me from generations of strong Polaki before me. 🇵🇱 I absolutely despised my body growing up and only recently have I started appreciating what I’ve been given. It’s why I take such pride in being a natural athlete. It is the only option for me because I want to see how far my body can go. [Controversial topic in powerlifting and I believe everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their own body]
Since doing my first @alphabioscan I threw my scales in the bin because they have always told me a very small part of my entire story. But because I’m a powerlifter, comp weigh in is a thing and only then do I really know where I’m sitting.
Right now I am the heaviest I have ever been (thanks USA for the few extra kgs 🍔) but I’m also the leanest and healthiest. I have clothes which fit me when the scale once told me I was 25kg lighter.
And lastly, what’s wrong with how I look? Can’t change bone structure 🙄 and why would I want to?
I share so much about myself online because I know there are women who are waking up today hating what they see in the mirror. I hope one day my words can change the way you see yourself.

It's hard to see progress when you look at yourself on a day to day basis but look back a year or two and that is when you'll really notice the differences.

These photos are about 15 months apart, in the left I was trying to cut and was making no progress and in the right 34 weeks into a gaining phase see weights in the gym go up and feeling strong.... pretty happy to see this and can't wait to strip the fat to reveal the progress I've made... but that won't be for a while 💪

Pretty happy with today 130kg x 5 rep squat PB. Got a little bit in my head after that 5th rep and had to rack it but still very happy with the improvements with this movement 💪

Just because you see me eat pretty much the same thing everyday doesn't mean I don't change things up if I'm really feeling like something different.

I felt like some icecream the other night and well this happened... still stuck within my goals and didn't starve myself just to fit this in. In fact just swapped what I usually had for this 🍦

Personally as much as I enjoyed this it can upset my stomach and is why I stick to the same foods most the time. I like to feel good on the inside and not feel digestion issues from trying to fit to much shit in my diet but from time to time I'm happy to mix it up 😋😋

Coming up on 34 weeks (I think) of being in a surplus which for me is an accomplishment of it's on as I have spun my wheels for many years and really just didn't change from cutting for weeks then gaining for like 4 weeks before repeating the cycle 🙅‍♂️

As of next Tuesday I'll be starting a short more aggressive diet just to tidy up before continuing this "gaining" phase.

Goal for the dieting phase which will last 4 weeks 5 at max and I'm holding myself to that but I'm roughly looking to lose 5-6kgs and everything else will stay the same. Training doesn't change just because you're dieting 💪
