| Participating @theshiftfi was invigorating. It felt like meeting old friends over drinks and having a chat about all things future. And yes, the bars were open and thriving all day long.
_See the video (had to be cut into two parts) above for my highly personalized view of the festival
_#AI, #neurostimulation #space #biohacking, #robotics, #bigdata, #security, #algorithms - any #futuretech topic you name,it was covered at Shift.
It wasn’t all roses, several speakers admitted to often having a pessimistic view of where AI could be headed. But in general positivity prevailed.
_fun side note, I could freely use my growing list of sci-fi references and even got recommendations for further reading. So yes, @theshiftfi is also a book club.
_But what matters is that after these two days many people left more informed on how to think about these technologies and afterwards many intriguing conversation were had. (It’s no longer enough to call something just good/bad/scary).Thanks for that!
_Oh and I’m now totally into #space . It’s amazing how paradigms can shift from a 30 min workshop (thanks @spacenation). And thanks @aehaverinen for introducing me to my new favorite word #PROVOTYPE, it’s genius. (=provocative prototype)
_So in conclusion, I’m sticking to my conviction: future is not fixed, it’s created, so it’s up to us to educate ourselves, become aware of its forces and shape our future(s). Can’t wait for #theshiftfi2019
