Tempo Squats für die weiterführende Rehabilitation.

Hier zu sehen bei CT Kunde Reto Stampfli. Er hatte starke Einschränkungen und Schmerzen über Jahre in seinem Knie. Wir konnten seine Knieflexion durch verschiedene Massnahmen wie Gua Sha, Tooling, Fasziales Stretching und Osteopressur deutlich verbessern.

Nun kommt die Transformer in der Front Kniebeuge-Einstellung zum Einsatz als Tempo Methode, um passive Strukturen zu stärken und die Kontrolle zu verbessern.

Same percentage as two weeks ago but with a twist. 5x5@465(75%) and then the fun part 4x3@375(60%) for tempo with a pause. My main focus is to control the weight with the best form possible and still have a good explosive 🧨 movement out the bottom. It’s all coming together. Even on 3 hours of sleep, somehow pulled myself together, and got a huge PR on my tempo paused squats... 270# for 5, and still felt like I had a little more in me. I struggled with these SO much a few months ago and couldn’t get a set of 2 at 275#. Squats have been in my head for a while, but I think some technique issues have helped me a lot. Excited to see what I can do with this lift now that I’m feeling more comfortable with it! 9 weeks out... let’s go!

Lol @ how tempo squats from Friday looked and felt better than regular squats yesterday.... and tempos were heavier than yesterday too 😭😭😭 keep telling myself that it’s okay to not be balls out excited all the time to lift. Yesterday was one of those days... Just kept telling myself, “ok andi, you did one set, now do one more.” It took me 2 hours to get through 7 sets (OF 3 🤦🏼‍♀️) and that’s all I did 🤷🏼‍♀️ Some days are gonna be better than others, and yesterday, I honestly feel like I did the best I could’ve given the circumstances. Had to cut off some reps because it was over a minute. Slept too long (13 hrs) and I felt like I had a hangover after 7 long islands (that’s about 35 shots, never did that again lmao). Tempo squats sucked. Felt normal again after working out though. Go figure. 🤨

The last rep on the way up was just a grind, it wasn’t an actual tempo movement lol.

Started the day off with a big cardio session! 40min AMRAP of 50cals rowing, 50cals assault bike, 50cals ski erg, it was more a menta gamel than physical one but either way it was brutal!

After a refuel, it was onto session 2 for the day. Kicked off with a quick emom which I had to scale down in order to get my technique right on the lunges. Then onto the squats, I'm really enjoying getting back into them and the weight is moving well too! Finished off with a HSPU and GHD wod managing to go unbroken but taking too much rest meant @lee_demain takes another wod!

What Is Tempo Training, and How Can It Improve Your Strength Gains?

Many resistance movements, utilizing a specific tempo can benefit an athlete by forcing controlled quality reps, getting the correct dose response out of the exercise, and overcoming weak points by spending more time in specific positions.
How to Read a Tempo: 3 3 1 0?
⏺️The first number is the Eccentricportion (descent) of the exercise, which is the load coming down. (ex. Squatting down, lowering of the body in a pull-up, etc.)
⏺️The second number is the Pause at the bottom (ex. holding the bottom of a squat, pausing at the chest on a bench press, dead hang on a pull-up bar)
⏺️The third is the Concentric (ascend) which is the weight moving up. In the some cases, in place of the third number you may see an “X” which means explode up as fast as possible, or an “A” which means assisted up.
⏺️The fourth number is the Pause at the top. For some movements like the squat,  it is back to the start position, for others like the pull-up it is holding the top position with the chin over the bar.
So try this in your leg workout and improve your strength.
