How we make money in the coin business!... Here is a purchase we made this week, an UNCIRCULATED roll of 1982-P Kennedy half dollars, all 20 are the no FG variety! I wish I could say I picked these off, but I didn't. I actually paid $500 for this roll of coins. IMO most dealers woud overlook this deal, or just never do it for whatever reason. These are the types of deals I have had most of my success with. In other words, do what nobody else is doing, find those deals that other guys are over looking. The next step for this roll is to be sent to NGC in a bulk batch and graded minimum grade MS65. My opinion is that most if not all are 65's and 66's. With bulk I pay $8 per grader. Meaning ill be into each coin a little under $35 each (25 ea + 8 grading cost and a little bit for shipping). When they come back, I will sell all of them in a wholesale deal to a market maker. The MS65's will bring roughly $75 per
The MS66's will bring roughly $125 per or so... Not to bad for a total of maybe an hours worth of actual work dedicated to this roll of coins. Ill post an update with grades when they come back from prescreen so we can look at actual numbers instead of estimates. .
Thank you for reading. Now go make some money!
