The Other Side of the Wind (2018, 122 minutes) is the final film by Orson Welles. Released over 40 years after production began and 33 years after director, writer, and editor Welles died, the film utilizes a film-within-a-film narrative that shows a director (played by John Huston) as he hosts a screening party for his unfinished last project. This film, eventually released by Netflix in 2018 with a cut overseen by co-star Peter Bogdanovich and producer Frank Marshall, uses a mockumentary style and is intended as satire about the changing Hollywood scene. Welles worked on this film from 1970 until his death in 1985. Netflix released the film alongside a documentary about it called They'll Love Me When I'm Dead, which contains a wealth of information about the infamous production of this legendary, almost mythical, film.
