This week we thought it’d be important to take a little time to introduce ourselves as the facilitators of Journey to the Self.
My name is Lindsay Kerr, I feel I was born an existentialist. I have early memories of asking myself questions on the meaning and purpose of life. Perhaps the wide open West Texas sky I grew up under gave way to a natural curiosity.
These questions and the desire to work in a helping profession led to my studies in psychology, counseling, yoga, and nutrition. But it’s been mostly through the schooling of life that I’ve been in continual awakening to new ways to integrate my understanding and meaning and purpose, as well as encourage others to do the same.
I’m in deep awe and wonder that our individual and collective experience is shaped through the lens of our being: physically, relationally, through our actions and decisions, the way we forgive and love, how we speak our truth, value our intuition and dreams, and connect to spirituality.
Not to mention how we are deeply impacted by the disproportionate societal structures we find ourselves in and contribute towards. It all shapes us and our world around us.
As I continue on my own path of growth, learning, and healing it’s been so encouraging to support others on a similar but totally unique path of their own understandings. My intention as a facilitator is to share tools, rituals, movements, creativity, and space through this year long program. I can’t wait to be on this adventure with some of you.
