Simple Choc peanut butter banana shake using @nutrakey whey optima from @asnrocky .
A quick lunch for me today as I hurt my back yesterday and can't stand for long 😊but didn't want to lose sight of my meal plan goals.

Recipe: 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 banana, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 teaspoon peanut butter and ice. Blend away 😊

Macros for this shake 1260kJ, 27g protein, 8g fat and 30g carbs. This is equivalent to a full meal. Be aware of what is in your drinks as some juice and smoothie bars make fabulous drinks that have more calories than a full meal.
This shake is my whole lunch today and it's #delish .

This week back to work lunches inspired by poke bowls 👍💫

Smoked trout with brown rice&quinoa, carrot, snow peas, coriander, roast pumpkin 🎃cucumber, crunchy legumes, mushroom 🍄 some roasted almonds and kimchi for some chilli 🌶️ kick.
Macros for lunch 1370kJ, 19g protein, 15g fat mostly awesome omega 3 from the trout, 26g carbs.
Snacks this week are roasted almonds, pretty plums and @yoproau high protein yoghurt. Boiled eggs for breakfast as usual 😋

Load up on veggies to provide fibre for a healthy gut and fill you up without too many kilojoules. .
5 serves a day is a good start. 1 serve = 1/2 cup cooked veg or 1 cup of raw veg or salad 🥗

Spectacular fasted cardio session this morning in Mount Maunganui. Last day of our holidays here and the weather has definitely made it difficult to leave. Going home to a heat wave and work on Monday 😲

I like fasted cardio as I feel lighter when I run. This isn't for everyone and it's really about doing what you feel comfortable with. Moving is the key, run, walk, ride, swim, play a sport, play with the kids or dog, just get out there and do what's fun for you. It shouldn't be a chore or punishment for eating. .
Staying active improves mobility, flexibility and fitness when you are older, it also assists with maintaining a healthy weight.

7.6km mount maunganui trail cardio session this morning. Gorgeous day after 6 days of rain. Now for some post workout protein to prevent muscle breakdown. I work damn hard for my muscles I want to lose some fat but continue to grow muscle 💪💪👍
