Back to an old favourite, meat balls โšฝ๏ธ. These are so quick to make and taste great. You can also eat them cold so perfect to add to veggies ๐Ÿฅฆ๐Ÿฅ•๐ŸŒฝor salad ๐Ÿฅ— ๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿ…

I use super lean mince, 1 egg, seasoning and some breadcrumbs. Mix together and bake for about 20mins until golden brown and cooked through.

Macros for this lunch are 1960kJ, 33g protein, 19g fat and 38g carbs. .
Carbs are coming mostly from the brown rice, if you want more or less carbs adjust the rice portion to suit your needs.

I started my new job last week and have a longer commute. Iโ€™ve noticed I am starving on the drive home so have added some extra snacks of trail mix and pretzels ๐Ÿฅจ to stop me raiding the cupboard when I get home. Nothing spoils your well planned out day than going past the point of hungry to hangry ๐Ÿ˜œ and you will just grab anything that is in front of you. There is no holding back when you are hangry ๐Ÿ˜„ everything in the cupboard is fair game.

This week's lunch is turkey mince balls with black rice, broccoli, mushroom, carrot, snow peas and cannellini beans. I try to add as much veggies as possible. Tinned beans are inexpensive, add bulk, fibre and nutrients to your meals. .
Bulk you meals up with veggies so they go further for less $$$๐Ÿ˜ƒ .
Macros for lunch is 2040kJ, 34g protein, 18 g fat and 45g carbs. I've got my usual eggs for breakfast, @yoproau for snacks, grapes and trail mix.

Today I've made a Matcha Latte for a nice change. Matcha is finely ground green tea powder. Matcha is high in antioxidants, may increase metabolism, calm the mind and relax the body. It also contains fibre, chlorophyll, vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium. Not only does it have some pretty good health benefits. It tastes #yummy. .

We don't have to add everything into our diets just because they are good for us. We need to have foods and drinks because we enjoy them. If they have health benefits then that is an added bonus. If they don't have health benefits and may not be the healthiest choices, then we only have then occasionally as a treat. If they taste good and are good for us then we can have them more often. Still consider moderation with our foods and drinks, as even the healthiest of foods will contribute to weight gain if eaten in excess.

Simple Gado Gado #yummy I haven't made this dish in a few years. As you all know I have a tiny old kitchen (if you didn't know, check out my first video)ย  I have just used every pot in the kitchen, plus bowls, cutlery, chopping boards. It looks like the kitchen cupboards explodedย ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ .

Simple pork and chorizo stirfry #delish and #soeasy

Flash cook pork in a wok, add veggies. I use a premade coleslaw mix as this saves heaps of time chopping up veggies. Especially after a busy day at work. Cook until veggies are soft and pork is cooked through. Add some stirfry sauce and #yummy eat it upย ๐Ÿ˜ .

Simple Zucchini Fritters for breakfast #delish with a dash of low fat ricotta, avocado and beautiful grape tomato. #love these low acid tomatoes.

Recipe:
grate 1 large zucchini, dice 4 large mushrooms, add in some kimchi for a little spice. Beat in 2 eggs and about 1 1/2 tablespoons flour. Any flour is ok, I used wholemeal spelt flour because I like it ๐Ÿ˜Šย  cook in a non stick pan until golden brown. Makes about 6 fritters.

Macros for 3 fritters 490kJ, 11g protein, 6g fat and 4 carbs. .
Try to add some veggies into your meals where ever possible. They are full on nutrients, vitamins, minerals, fibre, antioxidants, low energy and taste great.

Simple Spaghetti bolognaise with homemade ciabatta garlic bread. I've replace half of the pasta with zucchini "zoodles"๐Ÿ˜Šย this will reduce the carbs a little....ย so I can make up for them with the #delish ciabatta. The house smells like freshly cooked bread. #yummy

Blend a whole cauliflower to make a rice like texture, add 4 tablespoons almond meal, 2 eggs and whatever seasoning you like. Make patties and cook at 200'c / 400'f for about 30-40 mins. I then cut in half and cooked open for a little more to cook the middle as that was suggested and was needed. .

Simple choc banana and raspberry oat slice. Thanks @tastefullytash for the great recipe. I adapted it to add 2 scoops of choc lava cake protein powder. #delish.
Macros for a slice are 730kJ, 8g protein, 4 g fat and 24g carbs.
This recipe is egg free, can be dairy free using dairy free choc chips or leave them out. Can use gluten free oats and make sure your baking powder and protein powder are gluten free.
