'I learned about Slightly Foxed through #bookstagram, and quickly became a subscriber to their wonderful periodical. I have so enjoyed the many interesting essays I’ve read, usually about books and authors that I had never heard of, and have compiled a long list of books to read of which I had previously been unaware.
The staff at Slightly Foxed support artists by commissioning new works for the covers of issues, choose fascinating memoirs to publish in beautiful limited editions, and provide exemplary customer service, with a handwritten note included in each prompt shipment. I am also impressed that the Slightly Foxed staff offer to obtain any book, either new or secondhand, listed in their publications, for customers.'
Wonderful words from our friend, #foxedreader and host of this week's #GetFoxed60 giveaway @finepreserversbooks of NY. If you haven't yet visited Maureen's feed, please rush at once and scroll back a couple of posts to find this image and enter the draw to win this back issue of Slightly Foxed and these SF Paperback editions of what are, in our humble opinion, two of the finest memoirs ever written: Adrian Bell's Corduroy and Rosemary Sutliff's Blue Remembered Hills. And, while you're there, have a nosey through all the other glorious #shelfies of Penguins, Pelicans, and many other treasures.
I've just read Maureen's lovely words out to the office foxes, who are wrestling with postbags (Hattie) talking one of our technophobic readers through setting up access to the digital edition (Olivia) checking the bibliography for the forthcoming autumn issue (Anna) and chewing a cushion (Tarka) and they're all positively glowing! We love what we do here in our little corner of Hoxton Square and it's all thanks to you lot, our #foxedreaders and especially to our regular subscribers, who make it all possible. We're about to brew another pot of coffee and raise our mugs to you all. Jennie
