My #tbthursday long post alert Worth reading ladies!! One thing I’m grateful for today is the decision I made 5 years ago.
For years, after having a family, I thought it was selfish of me to make myself a priority. I revolved my world around my kids, my family, and friends..anyone who needed me.
But in the course of being the world to everyone, I lost who I was and became bitter and resentful about the time I was giving to everyone else but myself.
After a doctors visit, and his concern for my health.
At 215 lbs
Risk of Heart Disease
My blood levels due to my anemia were low
All I thought was if I continue on this path I won’t be here for my kids and they became my main reason in the beginning to take care of myself.
Today, I do it for me. As women we want to be the nurturer and be everything to everyone. My thinking if you don’t take care of your physical and mental health, what’s the point?
Throughout this process I learned the importance of taking care of yourself. Believe me that what you feed your body and your brain is equally as important to anything you do in life.
I’m happy to be able to now help other women see that they too can still be the mom, wife, sister, partner and still become her everything and do it for her so she can be better and make better decisions for herself and her family
I always remember this quote, “You owe Yourself the love you freely give to others.”
