Pausing in the hole helps with positioning, understanding where any weaknesses are once technique starts to deteriorate and as well showing how good your mobility is. First squat/Saturday back after the meet. Went with 50% for crisp, smash weight at six sets of doubles. Felt good. Iโ€™m definitely starting this cycle in a much better disposition than the last time.
Followed with zercher harness good mornings, sets of five against quadded micro bands.
This cycle, a bigger goal is to gain weight (15-20 lbs). Letโ€™s see...

If anyone wants to build traps then you need to learn to jerk, followed by controlling the weight on the way down. Great for core stability, building your shoulders and getting hella strong. Using a bench at a slight incline while performing bicep curls can increase the focus on the prime mover (bicep) in the curl.
This avoids momentum taking over in the concentric phase.. causing the bicep to work harder...
This also stops the bicep getting a rest at the top of the phase by reducing elbow movement so the shoulder (anterior deltoid) does not come in to play.. as you can see in this clip I am also focusing on time under tension to improve blood flow and stretch the muscle tissue..
