Chris and I woke up at 5am to go back to Arashiyama and hit the tourist spots again and it was so much better without the rush of people. The Bamboo Grove and the Togetsu-kyō Bridge were so tranquil to visit; we were almost alone, give or take a few early riser tourists who had the same idea as us and some locals walking their dogs. We also came across the Kimono Forest that we totally missed the first time round, so that was awesome we got to go through it without there being a crowd.
It was our last morning in Kyoto and we spent the next few hours catching trains to get to Hiroshima. We took full advantage of our hotel service allowing us to send our baggage ahead and stayed in the city to explore before catching the shuttle to our hotel.
Our hotel is located on Ujina Island and was surprisingly cheap, despite how fancy it is, we also managed to score a room with a water view at no extra cost. Got so lucky there! Also across from us is a futsal court and Auri was so fascinated by it all.
