1,000 Yen Meals Day 127: January 21. I didn’t eat a lot of food today. Because I worked, oh, I dunno, about TWEVLE PLUS HOURS STRAIGHT. So by the time I was finished (and arrived at the food market), I literally had 20 minutes to find, buy, and eat my food. OMG! But today was a good day. Mostly because I COMPLETELY reworked how I manage and track the inventory for my shop subscribers. And it’s AMAZING. I’m so goddamn impressed with myself. I feel like I HACKED the matrix or something. I’m going to do a blog post about all the mistakes (and subsequent corrections) I’ve made since I started my business. There’s been a ton! But I definitely feel like I’m getting more efficient. Baby steps! Speaking of baby steps, they have nothing to do with food. But food does. Speaking of food having to do with food (but not baby steps), here’s what I ate today:
Morning Smoothie: (not counted)
Boring-ass Steamed Veggies: (not counted)
Pork and Cheese Imagawayaki: ¥287
Inari Set: ¥210 (original price: ¥420)
Custard Imagawayaki: ¥108
Matcha Swirl Soft Servce: ¥100
Grand Total: ¥705
Money Leftover: ¥295
By the time I got to the food market, it was SLIM pickings. But I did spot something interesting: SAVORY PORK AND CHEESE IMAGAWAYAKI! Yasssss! It was totes delicious. And messy. But I gobbled that shit down so fast. Also got an inari set as well, but it wasn’t as good as the IMAGAWAYAKI! I like the savory one so much, I went and got a sweet CUSTARD one, too. OMGGGGG. I LOVE IT!!!!! I WANNA EAT SO MANY!!!!!! But I didn’t. Just one. Then I got matcha swirl soft serve later. Always delicious. But it’s no IMAGAWAYAKI. BUT WHAT IS? Besides imagawayaki. Because imagawayaki is definitely Imagawayaki.
Aight. That’s it for today! See y'all あした!
