The two assassins working together was rare, rare enough that Natasha had cracked jokes about it all the way to the jet, especially once they were on board. In truth, Natasha just loved to annoy the hell out of Mark. It was entertaining to frustrate the shit out of him. He was too easy to annoy, taking everything so literally. Especially now they were being debriefed on their mission. He didn’t appreciate the humour that Nat would use, often glaring at her in between discussing tactics.
Once on their mission, Natasha quietened up as they observed the scene behind heading down towards the party they were to infiltrate. Natasha had Mark’s voice in her ear, constantly yapping away is that they were separated. He wouldn’t stop going over the plan, something Natasha had heard over and over for the past hour. She eventually turned her comm off, preferring to frustrate him. After a few minutes of scoping out the party, Natasha turned her comm back on with a smug look on her face. She raised the glass to her lips and took a sip.
“I’ve got eyes on the target, I do hope you’re in position.” Natasha spoke easily over the top of the glass, hearing Mark’s grumble of “yes.” Once she had the confirmation, Natasha moved in on their target.
Once seduced upstairs, Natasha led the man to Mark who in a matter of hours had broken the man and gotten their information.
“See working together wasn’t so bad.” Natasha smirked as they walked out of the room casually like there wasn’t a dead body laying on the bed.
“No.” Mark replied before looking to the shorter woman with a smirk. “Empty rooms, just the two of us.” He said suggestively.
“I’ve been there, done that. And besides. You’re not my type.” She pushed her blonde hair over her shoulder as she surpassed him, leaving the assassin to watch her walk away.
