STARTING FRIDAY: Intersection Festival
@intersectionfest is a weekend of shows celebrating experimental music, known for its boldly imaginative programming. This year it feels like they’ve outdone themselves, kicking things off with a screening and performance by the legendary Suzanne Ciani (pictured above) on Friday at @revuecinema. If you didn’t get tickets already, it might be tricky at this point…
On Saturday, though, the show is free and happening all day long, at @ydsquare, which should be surreal and amazing. It’s going to be truly special to see bands like the Cosmic Range, Tonstartssbandht (also pictured above), Nadja and Pantayo (plus many more, check the schedule for a full list!) in the middle of the city. 🔻
Finally, on Sunday, local treasures Matthew “Doc” Dunn and Andy Haas are headlining an intimate show at the Canadian Music Centre, which also includes Philly free jazz trio Roughhousing and TO-based keyboard ensemble junctQín. Admission for this show is $10 at the door.
