Bit late for a weekly update but here we are again - Had a massive slow down in progress recently as I had take a whole week of the gym due to illness which was a massive pain but nevertheless I am back and ready for more.
Now that my wrist injury is healed I can now practice some more advanced body weight exercises - muscle ups - of which the footage shows me doing a set of 5 with a the aid of a resistance band which was good considering I had never practiced them before. I am looking to reduce the thickness of the bands over the coming weeks and hopefully be able to perform a muscle up without the need of any bands soon enough.
Also there is some older footage that I had a couple weeks ago of me doing my 1RM easily for the barbell bench press and with clean form which gives me hope that I can definitely lift more when I do my one rep test during Christmas.
I’m also going to be switching my current split programme to a advanced push pull legs routine because I have started to plateau a little and am finding it slightly boring to individually work each part on a day. From next week I will be doing a 6 day programme written by @littlebutlargefitness which has a emphasis on size rather than strength - reps ranging from 8-12 with a progressional overload type workout each week increasing the load and reps.
