Why are there always burpees when I do a sandbag workout?

@carriehopefletcher just did the most amazing post about embracing our jiggles and curves and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
James took this pic of me to show my friend what I was wearing and I love the dress but was slightly apprehensive as it hugged my curves more than what I would usually wear. (Please excuse the lack of makeup and messy hair!!) However I decided I had nothing else to wear, it was Xmas And why not ? I hate how I become so fixated on being something I cannot achieve. I have hips which are structural they are never going to shift so why am I comparing myself to people who are a different shape to me. We need to stop comparing ourselves to unrealistic idols and start focusing on being the best shape I can be. Who is with me?

How good of a workout can you get with a pair of 20kg kettlebells? A pretty darn good one and even better when you adapt them to a StreetParking WOD.

1 Rd of:
-30 situps
-30 kB cleans
-30 kB jumpovers
-rest 3:00
2 Rds of:
-15 situps
-15 kB cleans
-15 kB jumpovers
-rest 3:00
3 Rds of:
-10 situps
-10 kB cleans
-10 kB jump overs

I did the rounds in the following times, 6:28, 5:47, 5:22. Rds 2 and 3 was able to go unbroken. Hardest time suck for me was the jumping.

Also threw in 10 GetUps with 28kg bell prior.

This was a fun workout......Worked a big weakness of mine which is jumping.

Happy Monday! Still feeling a bit drained so I decided to start my workout with some gentle yoga to wake my body up. I then did a deep core activating pilates workout followed by two sets of single leg deadlifts and my usual dead bugs, bird dogs and bridges finishing off with an awesome 5 min plank finisher. How true is this quote?! Each week is a chance to set forth a positive chain of reactions in your life! I hope that you all have a wonderful week! ☺ ✌️ 💗

Got a nice 30lbs or on my front squat, up to 365. I feel there is another 20-25 lbs in there. This was the 40th squat that day.

I was gonna take a rest day.... But for some reason doing yesterday's @streetparking workout outside in 20 degree cold was a good idea.

This took a few reps to get used to, 24" box, 50# unstable sandbag, unstable ground, it made for an interesting challenge.

Always grateful that I can and can challenge myself, others truly can't.... This 52 year old body may not move so strong later but that will never stop me.😂😂😂 The long term plan is to be still doing this 20
years from now, always has and always will be.
The plan is the same every year I get older. Some days I work harder than others, and on the days when my body is telling me I need a rest day then I take it and I don't feel guilty about it.
I find some people get caught up and are beating themselves up if they don't get that workout in for a workout streek of x number of days in a row. Consistency and discipline are key, but rest days are needed, so learn to listen to your body when it is telling you to take a rest day and take it. The Kettlebell Turkish Get-Up has so many benefits and should be incorporated into all training programs in my opinion.
.
It’s one of the foundational exercises I learned and started with when I began my kettlebell journey, in addition to Swings.
.
It took me a long way, I got stronger, my mobility and flexibility improved, my shoulder stability improved, my entire body improved as a one, learning to work as one, as it should.
.
Everyone, regardless of age can and should be doing regular get-ups and once you learn to do it well you can too.
.
Remember to start with NO load, a shoe and get the movements down first before loading it.
.
When you do load it, start with a small kettlebell, from a 10-16 kg bell.
.
Do a couple reps per side, alternating, for up to 5 per arm.
.
Focus on getting a little better, stronger and moving better each day. 👍🏽 NEVER through pain! .

10 years ago I had a vision.

To become my own boss, take control of my own destiny and live the kind of life I wanted to lead while positively impacting as many people's lives as possible.

Personal Training has a notoriously short shelf life due to burn out.

The journey has had its moments of great personal challenge which all served to reveal and teach restrictions in how I operated.

Now the work is paying off.

Train Strong is now so much more than me. We have more coaches and space to expand.

As space is created new energy can flood in like water. -
There is a tidal wave building in Eastbourne and behind it is Train Strong.

Tonight is the Train Strong Christmas Party and we have reason to celebrate many things as a community.

We are ten years strong, THE original outdoor training provider of Eastbourne.

In that time we have supported hundreds of people in making changes, some massive transformations and plenty of amazing experiences.

I have taught over 50 personal trainers, 6 Strong First/Strength Matters Coaches and everyone from recreational fitness bod to elite level athletes.

Our community is built around service, quality, professionalism and treating everyone who comes to us as the individual they are.

We are a family.

I am super proud of what has been built from an idea, a calling, a desire in my heart. -
My perception is, I've Made It.

2019 is set to be massive for us, as I am now a WE, and we will reach out to more people to join us and expand further into new areas including cementing Train Strong Adventure, Ski Trips and the usual Train Strong Magic that we deliver week in week out.

Chasing strength with kettlebells today. Squats, Getups, Lunges and presses to move strong today to stay strong tomorrow. Pistol Squat progress update, it's coming along.... Ecstatic that I got a shaky one today.

@gorillagirevik I gave your Gorilla Complex a go today with 40kg bell. I have a low ceiling in garage notice the sound when bell handle hits the ceiling. Lucky I wasn't trying to drive it through 😂😂😂 @viking_in_the_garage_ I gave your workout from a couple days ago a shot:

-3 x Clean, Squat, Right Lunge, Left Lunge, Push Press.
Rest 3-5 min btwn Rds

At first I wondered why so much rest. I did these with just 24kg bells and the rest was needed lol

Rest day tomorrow and back at #streetparking on Monday, but I'll be throwing in some Getups regularly because they were shaky today and I sure don't want to lose my GetUp strength... Have a great day everyone and don't forget to move strong today however you choose to do.
