I always wanted more for myself, I loved me, however my diet didn’t reflect that, it was too hard to give up food.So initially I started working out four days a week! I didn’t change my diet... however because of my hard work in the gym my body stop the cravings for so many bad carbs ! 😩

This is something that I hear a lot and read a lot. We are not happy with ourselves and we think if we lose weight it will fix everything. IT WON’T!! Your happiness is not measured by your size but it is by your self love. It’s so cliche right? You gotta love yourself first before you can be loved or love someone else blah blah BUT it’s true.
I’ve been blessed with confidence and loving myself no matter my size so it’s hard to relate to others who start to get confidence once they lose weight. Confidence and happiness is not the same thing.
However I been dealing with the complete opposite recently. Now that I have lost 100 plus pounds and continue to lose I am having a lot of problems adjusting to my body and my confidence is not where it used to be.
I am working on it and have amazing support so I know I will be okay.
Just know that you need to dig deep into your insecurities and find out what is causing the doubt and lack of love for yourself. Put in the work, it’s worth it. You are GOLD and investing in yourself is the best reward. Life is too short to be unhappy or to settle.

All my life I have struggled with my weight. Growing up I played 4 sports competitively and was fit but was always bigger than my peers. Fast forward to my senior year in high school...I hurt my knee which made me cut back on playing sports. Unfortunately I was still eating like I was an athlete and pushed my weight to over 350 pounds. I tried every single fad diet there was from only eating 500 calories a day to injecting myself with “weight loss formula”. Eventually I realized that I just simply needed to eat healthy and be physically active. I followed a nutrition plan and did cardio everyday and resulted in losing over 150 pounds. Then I eventually added in weight lifting and struggled when I started to gain weight on the scale but what I didn’t know is I was gaining muscle and not fat. ⭐️The main tips I would give would be:
1. be patient!!! things are not going to happen over night.
2. Take pictures; I saw more results in comparing pictures rather than weighing myself on the scale
3. Start slowly; don’t burn yourself out in the first week. Take your time and gradually increase your workouts, reps etc.
4. Surround yourself with people who are supportive of your journey ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀

Potatoes-high in vitamins and minerals and not that caloric
Quinoa-high in protein,great for vegans,very low in calories
Oats-high in fiber,a serving of oats of 50g contains about 170-220kcals,depends .
Rice-great for getting more mass and hardgainers,doesn't have a lot of micronutrients but is great as a pre-workout meal along with chicken or steak
Pasta-great in protein,high in kcals also great for hardgainers,but people struggling with weight loss should eat less of this.Since 100g contains about 400kcals
